The Japanese Silk Love Rope Plaited Flogger is wonderful for soft sensation play both in the bedroom or in a BDSM context. If you have a limited experience with floggers, or no experience for that matter, this flogger is perfect for enhancing those skills. Light and airy, this flogger is not bulky to hold or to throw, leaving it easy for beginners to learn to throw. This flogger is also a great learning tool for grasping the concept of flogger use to help those beginners to become a bit more versed in floggers and how to properly use them on a partner. This flogger is also great for the advanced user as well as it provides a soft, but slightly stingy kiss to whomever happens to be beneath the flogger's tails. This flogger is wonderful for striking the entire body and does not have to be limited to just use on the back or back of the thighs. This flogger is made from Japanese silk rope and is extremely soft to the touch. The handle of the flogger is wrapped tightly with a smaller cord than the rest of the flogger is made with, leaving a tight bond on the handle so that the rope of the flogger does not unravel or come apart during play. The rope that makes up the tails of the flogger is looped around a metal swivel hook and attached to a large metal ring for storage.

The falls of the flogger begin as the rope was made, braided and tightly woven together, and about eight inches down the rope the ends are unbraided. The unbraided portions of the flogger tails are what impact the bottom during a scene. The ends are not frayed which leaves the flogger completely soft without a slight sting or bite that frayed ends typically create. The downfall to the unbraided falls of the flogger, though, is that individual threads stray from the rope, get knotted together, as well as get caught on other toys that may be surrounding it. The portion of the flogger falls where the rope becomes unbraided is also not finished with anything to keep the rest of the rope from unbraiding down the road.

As beautiful as this flogger is, it really is not practical for any type of intense or hard use as it may end up completely unraveled before long.

Being a slut for hard impact play, this flogger really did not do much for me. The softness of the rope was a great contrast to the hard play that I had been exposed to before its use, but beyond that, it truly does nothing for me. The rope is not heavy enough to really leave marks or leave you squirming from the slight sting or thud from the fall of the flogger tails on the flesh.

That being said, that is my opinion and my body alone. Now, if you enjoy soft sensations and light BDSM play, then this flogger is most likely going to work wonders for you and I'd highly recommend it. But, if you truly enjoy harder play, proceed with caution and just keep in mind that this flogger may potentially leave you disappointed.

This flogger is a little difficult to clean as the rope is made of silk. I cleaned the ends with a sanitizing wipe after I let it dry out a bit so as to not ruin the rope. It's a tad bit too high maintenance for my taste.

Storage is a breeze, though. The flogger comes attached to a large "O" ring, which makes it perfect for hanging in a closet or on a hook on the wall. The flogger also comes packaged in a plastic bag which can be used for storing this flogger amongst your other toys.

The flogger comes packaged in a long plastic tube that clips at the end to keep the ends of the flogger safe from snagging on things that may be surrounding it. The bag has colorful writing on it that tells the name of the flogger. There is a tag attached to the "O" ring that has a few teasing remarks about using the flogger. There are no instructions for use or how to clean and properly store this flogger included in the packaging.
