This is of course, a gag. You could use it for verbal deprivation so that your submissive cannot speak. And during the time that your submissive is silent and gagged, you are able to act out your fantasies and fulfill your desires, with their consent of course! This product could work for couples, group sex, threesomes, soloists, er...basically anyone! I think it would be best for couples, though. It's definitely for advanced users, because it stretches your mouth a bit when being worn, and it isn't very comfortable at all.

I don't like the design, actually, in terms of the gag itself. I do like the straps for the gag, however. The straps are made of red leather with an almost tortoiseshell look and they're very pretty, as well as adjustable. They can be adjusted to basically any head size, large or small. And they're classy and stylish. If only they could be removed to be used with a different gag type! The straps look like they will last for a few years, at least, under some rough play, like BDSM. The material is firm but not hard, and it doesn't scratch or hurt the wearer unless pulled way too tightly around the head. The red side of the leather straps is smooth sleek and shiny, and the black side is smooth and leathery, of course. It doesn't smell very strongly, and it feels great for use. It fits any user well, including me and my wife both, and I think it would be great for the average sized user who is interested in this sort of gag.

The barrel gag is plastic, as you know, and therefore it is non toxic, and non porous. Also, there is no latex in any part of this product, for anyone concerned.

The gag itself is pretty unique, and yet too unique for my tastes. It also hurts my jaw to wear, and my wife absolutely hated it. It wasn't a great first impression for our first ball gag, and we don't plan on ever trying this kind of gag ever again, although we do like ball gags still. But this one is just plain ugly, and uncomfortable. It doesn't seem to be well made, and where the air holes are cut out there are little sharp bits of plastic sticking out that can cut the lips and tongue if worn too tightly or used too roughly. It could easily be broken, too, although it is made of thick plastic. The red plastic doesn't smell bad at all, or smell of anything for that matter. It feels rough, though, and almost painful just as soon as you open it and really look at its craftsmanship. It was not made well at all. I hated it just looking at it, and it stretches the mouth wide in a painful way. I think it would be best for a user with a large mouth that opens wide easily, but this is a horrible gag in my opinion. It might only be best for those that like the sort of pain that only a gag like this can bring. I guess for proper BDSM that includes the pain, this gag is great.

The black blindfold included with this gag was not made very well either, and the elastic straps broke the first time we tried to use it. It was very thin and not well made at all. I don't think it would have made it through the washing machine either. It was a big disappointment.

This gag did not measure up at all, but the straps I did like. The only thing about that is, if the gag isn't great, then why even bother with the straps? It was uncomfortable, could have left cuts and bruises, and hurt my wife's mouth and my own. We won't be fooling with it again.

Since the barrel gag included is made of plastic (which is non toxic), it should be easy to clean (and is non porous) but instead the gag just causes problems... The problem with cleaning, which is a big one, is that you cannot easily scrub every bit of space inside of the barrel gag, especially if edible things or saliva get down in it. There are tiny scrub brushes for this purpose, but a toothbrush will not fit in the holes. Water can be poured through the holes at full speed like pressure washing, but there is no guarantee that you will get all of the grime out of this gag. Plus since it's got leather straps that are not removable, it can't be soaked or put into the dishwasher for cleaning. It's not sanitizable or boilable, so it shouldn't be shared. So far I've only used it once, and hated it for many many reasons, but I'd also like to include that after getting the scent and taste of breath in it, that could be bad or good, the inside of the gag could start tasting and smelling of the breath if not properly cleaned, which it cannot really be.

For some it may be a gag that should be only for looks and photo shoots, and worn only one or two times. But it is definitely not good for most play in my opinion, especially for a beginner, and it's really not easy to care for at all.

The thick cardboard box that the gag and free blindfold come in is quite attractive and detailed. User's instructions aren't included, but you can tell that Pipedream wanted this gag to be well liked and a bestseller by the looks of the things noted about the product. The box is definitely not discreet. There is a picture of the girl with the gag in her mouth on every side, and you can basically see it from any angle. And the pictures are just repeats; basically the same picture on every side. I think the box was the best thing about this gag, honestly, if I didn't count the tortoiseshell like straps. The back of the box, however, does state some interesting details about the product. This is exactly what it states:

"Don't say a word! Teach your lover the meaning of submissiveness in no time with this sexy Designer Breathable Ball Gag. You're in control of when your lover can or can't speak-act out your fantasies and fulfill your desires while your partner is gagged and silent. This section has to do with the Vroom and Bee, the intensity and the noise level.

For Vroom, or intensity, I thought that one should know that this product is painful and does stretch the mouth. Because of this, it got a higher vroom. For me, it was an intense gag for bondage/BDSM.

For Bee, or noise level, I thought that one should know that this product can be very loud when the air holes are breathed through. It works much like a raspy whistle or harmonica, and you can hear the air escaping and pouring in as the wearer breathes. It's very noisy in that regard.
