Excellent for Beginners
The Love Cuffs by NMC Ltd. would be an excellent choice for beginners because of their non-intimidating appearance and performance. The cuffs are inexpensive, comfortable, durable, and have a quick release tab for easy escape. These cuffs are superior to all of the other metal cuffs I have tried in the past. The only thing I'd change about these cuffs is the colour of the sleeve.

Pros
price, durable, thick wrist covers, adjustable in size, non-intimidating appearance/performance.
Cons
only available in pink, not for the more advanced cuff user.
The Love Cuffs by NMC Ltd. are actually named “Da Cuffs”, and were exclusively manufactured for EdenFantasys. My partner and I really got a laugh out of the name, but maybe we’re just a little odd. The packaging to the cuffs is different than what is shown on the product page. The packaging is a cardboard box with no window to see the product inside.
The front of the box states the product name and a few random phrases. The back of the packaging states the same things and mentions that it was manufactured for EdenFantasys. The packaging is cute but I wouldn’t consider it discreet with phrases like, “Rise of the Wild Couple”, “Seduce & Arouse”, etc. The packaging is fine to use for storing the cuffs, though we keep most of our cuffs beneath the stand by our bed. The packaging can be recycled.
The cuffs are made of metal with pink faux fur sleeves around the wrist areas. I’ve taken a couple measurements of the cuffs but if you need additional measurements, please let me know and I will get them for you.
Wrist circumference: 5-7 ¼ inches
Distance between cuffs (linked area at centre): 3 inches
Width of sleeve: just under 2 inches
I usually don’t use metal cuffs because the ones I have tried have been cheap quality and really hurt the wrists when resisting restraint during play. These cuffs were offered as a free gift with order so I had added them to my cart, assuming that I’d give them to a friend. When they arrived, I wanted to check them out and see the quality of them before gifting them. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box because the weight of the cuffs was rather heavy and the faux fur sleeves were quite thick.
The last pair of metal cuffs that my partner and I had tried was the cuffs that came in this kit. Put frankly, they were a piece of garbage. While the cuffs are similar in style, the quality difference between the two is huge. You can see a comparison photo of the two pairs of cuffs below.
“Da Cuffs” are a heavy, thick metal. The weight of the cuffs is not a problem during play. In fact, the weight and thickness of these cuffs make them more durable. When my partner and I used the cuffs during play, they did not open on their own or feel like they were about to break if I resisted. During play, I only showed light resistance while wearing these cuffs. I probably would not recommend these cuffs if you wanted to show medium-heavy resistance.
Another nice thing about these cuffs is that the faux fur sleeves are thick. The sleeve provides a bit of extra padding, unlike the cuffs in the comparison photo above. As I had mentioned, I usually don’t wear metal cuffs because of the metal digging into my wrists. With the sleeves being so thick, the metal didn’t hurt my wrists. I found the cuffs to be quite comfortable and have not noticed any shedding to the faux fur.
The cuffs come with a pair of keys, which you can use to unlock the cuffs. The keys aren’t necessary though because there is a metal tab on the side of each cuff for a quick release. This safety feature is nice to have in case you lose the keys, or are just beginning using restraints with your partner. The quick release tab combined with the pink furry sleeves makes these cuffs non-intimidating in both appearance and performance.
The faux fur sleeves can be taken off of the cuffs and thrown into the wash as needed. The sleeves should not be put into the dryer. Instead, let the sleeves air-dry.
Overall, I’m very impressed with these cuffs and would recommend them to beginners, or the more advanced user who enjoys metal cuffs for restraint/light resistance. I swore off metal cuffs after the last pair we received was just as junky as the others I’ve had in the past. “Da Cuffs” are the best pair of metal cuffs I have ever used and renewed my appreciation for metal. While we won’t be using these as our main go-to cuffs, they definitely will be used again.

Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
I still think these cuffs are the best metal cuffs I have tried. They're durable and the pink covers are very thick. I have quite a few pairs of metal cuffs laying around and the Love Cuffs (or "Da Cuffs") are the only pair I can tolerate. I don't use metal cuffs often because I prefer different kinds but I would still recommend these to someone looking for a GOOD pair of metal cuffs.
