The ePlay Silicone Rings Set is used with the ePlay Electro-Stim Controller (sold separately) and provides a sensation around the cock and balls of being lightly zapped. It can also be used around the nipples, but it isn't as effective that way. It is to be used with a generous amount of water-based lube for conductivity purposes. I do not recommend using any other lube with this device except water-based.

The rings are made from silicone, as suggested by the name. There are two contact points within each ring that need to touch the penis or testicles at the same time in order to provide you with the zapping sensation. The silicone has some ridges on it that look like they are left over from the molding, and while they are not rigged they do provide extra stimulation that was not meant to be there and can be irritating to a sensitive recipient.

At the base of the rings there are two cords. These cords are difficult to disconnect and slightly resemble headphone jacks. They are difficult to push in if you take them out and there isn't a specific point of entry on the rings for these. The point of entry is actually just a hole in the material and it can be frustrating to try to reinsert the jack. I do not recommend taking these out.

The rings are split into a Y cord and at the end of it there is a single headphone jack that plugs into the controller. It has one ring around it, which means that any signals sent from the controller to the rings are going to be the same for each ring. If you tell the controller to tap at 3 speed and 4 strength, you are going to get the same sensation in both rings.

One ring is slightly larger than the other so that it can go around the cock and balls, while the smaller ring goes around just the shaft of the cock. The larger ring is on a longer cord to accommodate for the difference in length from one to the other. There are no size options, as these seem to be 'one size fits most.' It works well for my husband who is rather well endowed, but I imagine my boyfriend, who is slightly thinner, might have an issue keeping these on and the connection points touching correctly.

All of the functions and controls of this device are located on the controller that is purchased separately. The options on the controller include:

Power (click once for on, click once for off)
Tap (this is a tapping pattern that translates to the toy you are using)
Vibrating (this causes a vibrating sensation in the attachment you are using)
Massage (this provides a steady sensation in the attachment)
Auto (this cycles through the above options - excluding power, of course)
Speed (this controls the speed of the option you choose above)

And there is a wheel on the right side of the controller that controls the strength of the electricity that the receiver gets. The controller takes 2 triple A batteries but doesn't seem to drain them too quickly.

To take care of these rings use ONLY water-based lube and wipe down with a damp cloth. Due to the construction of the attached cord I, personally, fear to get water into the holes at the base of the rings and damaging the inner workings of the device. While it is easier to just throw your toys under a stream of water and wash them with soap, these are a little more high maintenance and should be treated with more care.

As I mentioned in my review of the ePlay Electro-Stim Controller, I keep the rings in the same bag as the controller with a bread tie around the cord to keep it from getting tangled.
