These are the cuffs you bring out when you really want your lover to try bondage, but handcuffs and black leather are too intimidating. They look like something a pleasure slave would wear, not because they need to be restrained, but because it pleases their Dom(me) to have them cuffed. I found these to hold up pretty well to cuffing to a bed--wriggling didn't affect how well they kept my boy tied up. The Sutra cuffs are made of silk and suede. So incredibly soft and luxurious feeling. They buckle with a simple lobster-claw style clip, which I found pretty easy to manipulate. Because of the closure style, I found these went as small as needed for my wrists, and a bit bigger for the boy's. The chain is light enough to not be straining, while sturdy enough to stand up to some struggle. Of course, silk and suede are not exactly machine washable, so you might want to keep them away from your lubricant!

I've worn these with the boy while having sex, and had him wearing them at other times. Personally I'm waiting for the day I can have him serving me at a party so he can wear these cuffs, a waistcoat, and some sexy boxer briefs--they'll give him enough slack to complete tasks but also remind him of his place. You won't be able to do suspension bondage, and neither of us struggle particularly roughly, but they held up without any issues. Avoiding lubricant, massage oil, and water is pretty important for these, so not the cuffs of choice for that splosh scene!

Suede and silk aren't easily washed, so the best way to take care of these is to be delicate with them. Think of these cuffs like some really nice lingerie--best folded and put away when not displayed for "sexyfuntimes."

The outer box has a photo of the product, but the inner black box is sturdy, discreet, and ideal for storing your cuffs. I also liked that they were wrapped in a bit of what looks to be handmade tissue paper. Every step with these cuffs was elegant and well-executed!

I think if you're interested in being tied up but don't want to risk cheap handcuffs being locked on or cutting off circulation, cuffs like these are a beautiful and non-threatening way to suggest it. Try restraining your lover for a massage, for example, or for a sensation-filled teasing--use feathers, ice, hair clips, whatever you have around! If you take it slow, and let the less-comfortable person be your guide, you may well find there's all sorts of opportunities to incorporate bondage into your life.
