Definitely not "playtime" cuffs

Don't waste your time on these $13.99 handcuffs. You can buy much better ones for that price, or you can spend more and get some great handcuffs. These cheaply made cuffs can cause pain and may break since they are not sturdy.

worth reading, but not useful review
These handcuffs were a letdown for my boyfriend and I. We were so excited to try them out as they were the first handcuffs we have ever bought. However, when we got home, the handcuffs didn't even made it to "playtime". I tried them on, and right away, I thought they were cheaply made. They weren't heavy and seemed like they would break at any moment if one of us were to pull against them too hard (which I almost did). They fit my wrists OK. The first time I had them on, they were too loose and I was able to slide my hand out of them. When I clicked them one tighter, they bit into my skin. Since the cuffs either slipped off or caused me pain, we decided not to use them as they weren't able to serve their purpose. I quickly threw them into a drawer and they were out of sight for a long time.

Some time down the road, we decided to pull the cuffs back out and give them another try, and they fit better this time. However, the pink fluff fabric bunched up on me simply because I squirmed for a few minutes. The metal material exposed from behind the bunched up fabric, and they caused me a lot of pain. Good thing the cuffs have safety releases because I had to quickly remove them in less than five minutes. They seem to have sharper edges than most of the other handcuffs we have bought, which is why I was in so much pain.

Cleaning is easy since they don't need to be cleaned often. I just wipe them down with an antibacterial wipe before I put them away. I usually don't clean my handcuffs if I have only used them once or twice, but since I planned to let them sit in the drawer for a long time, I cleaned them properly before storage.

Eventually, the pink fluff fell off and got lost. I still have the handcuffs, but I will never use them again.

You know, you could try wrapping the metal yourself with some fleece or something from the fabric store, or even wrap a sport sock around it to cushion yourself from the metal...just a thought.

How did they feel like they would break? Did you mean the connection between them? Here's where photos would help, I think. Maybe you can replace the links with more sturdy ones, but of course, the way they are attached to the cuffs themselves could be the weak part. I'm glad you tried them more than once before reviewing though, but I would be interested if you could find a work around...not that you should have to! They should work "out of the box" so to speak. Thanks for the review!
