The Sex and Mischief blindfold is meant to be a tool to introduce a little sensory play into your sex life; blocking out light--and, thus, what your partner is doing--adds a bit of intrigue and, yes, mischief to any play. If you're a single person using this, unfortunately you'll be a bit limited, as most of the intrigue of this blindfold is its use with another person. However, you could use this as a sleep mask to block out light until you've get to use it with your honey.

This blindfold is made from polyester and elastic--the inner panel is a single piece of polyester, and around the edges is a fuzzier, felt-like piece of polyester. Directly above and below the center of the mask on each side is a black strip of elastic running from end to end that stretches to fit almost any head. All of the stitches appear to be tightly done and there are no marks of poor craftsmanship.

Although the craftsmanship on this one is good, I didn't find its performance to be as wonderful as I'd hoped. I was able to see through the bottom of the mask, unless I pulled it down very uncomfortably over my nose--though it's pressed right up against your face so it's not really comfortable to open your eyes. I also found that the material wasn't thick enough to really block out the light, so when something passed in front of the light I could see an impression of the shape--kind of a killjoy when you're looking for a bit of mystery.

The blindfold itself is innocuous and discreet since it doesn't look like any more than a standard sleep mask; you'd be hard-pressed to find anything especially sexy or improper about this mask.

Polyester can be hand-washed in room temperature water with a gentle detergent or soap. Should you be particularly fastidious, or if your blindfold gets all smushed up in the bottom of a drawer, you can iron it on a low setting.

The packaging isn't the height of discretion, featuring a tastefully covered nude woman wearing a blindfold and the text "Sex and Mischief." The envelope is modern and attractive but can't be used for storage since it's not resealable.
