Cuffed in Paradise
I was truly blown away by the quality and comfort of these restraints. The velcro closure offers a sturdy hold but the safety of quick release when needed. Spartacus, you did good.

Pros
Well constructed, soft faux fur lining.
Cons
Nothing I can think of.
The restraints are packaged in a plastic clamshell case with insert that says “Spartacus Divinity - White Leather Wrist Restraints with easy Release Velcro” and a picture of an attractive mohawked chicky with a lip piercing wearing the line(extra points awarded for feeding my mohawked girl fetish). The back has a little blurb in English, German, French and Spanish that it's made of cowhide, has a 4-7 inch adjustable velcro closure and is lined in faux-fur, as well as the descriptive blurb “ Who says submission has to be uncomfortable? Experience the softer side to bondage with our faux fur lined leather restraints. Arms back, hands bound and ready, these divine restraints offer a plush and pleasurable embrace.” It's not at all discrete but as we now have the storage ottoman a.k.a. “The chest of awesome” discrete packaging isn't a concern for me anymore. These could just as easily be stuffed in a sock drawer.
These restraints are superbly constructed the top layer is the strap which has a stainless steel rectangular fasten loop with two stainless steel rivets at the base. The “tie-down” loop is riveted to the wristband on either side of the loop with the same stainless steel rivets. Two large dark blue acrylic gems are mounted to the strap on either side of the “tie down” loop. The strap is two strips of leather sandwiched together so the mount portion of the gems can't scratch at the wristband or compromise the integrity of the piece. The velcro closure is a 1/2” square at the very end of the strap of the “scratchy” velcro followed by about 2” of plain leather and then a 2” portion of the soft fuzzy velcro. The wrist band portion is 2” wide by 9” long supple white leather with contrasting dark blue stitching, it's lined in a soft sky blue faux fur that reminds me of a grumpy bear care bear doll I had as a child. The velcro is heavy duty and fastens securely, no amount of tugging I tried made the velcro pop and release by accident but it unfastens easily when intentional. The smallest circumference wrist this will accommodate is 4-1/2” the largest 7”. To use the cuffs you wrap the wristband portion around the wrist then feed the strap through the rectangular fasten loop and press the “scratchy” velcro into the soft to close.
Due to the fact leather is porous you have to be kind of careful with these restraints. If you think they might come in contact with fluids of any kind I suggest treating them with a leather conditioner/waterproofer such as Angelus's mink oil, it's about $6 a can and it'll help protect all your leather goods. Treated or not they wipe clean with a damp sponge, but be careful not to wet the faux fur or it will mat. If you do choose to treat them they will be less likely to stain. Being the whirling dervish of destruction I am, the first time I took them out of the box to fiddle(and condition) them I got an ink smudge on them but was able to remove most of it but a small blue smudge under the “tie down” loop remains, and is entirely my own damn fault, I should know better than to own anything white. So beware ye merry klutzes.
The restraints are exceptionally comfortable. I was able to wear them for a prolonged period of time with no discomfort, hell if they weren't white I'd rock them as bracelets. Then endured a good bit of twisting about and thrashing without my wrists chaffing. To test, just for the sake of the review, I had my hubby hold the loop while I twisted my wrist around back and forth far faster than would ever happen during “normal use” and not even a hint of rug burn.
They're a bit of an investment at nearly $50, but I think they're well worth it. They're solidly and beautifully constructed, and not being the “traditional” black/red or black/purple color combination they're somehow (at least to my husband) less intimidating than your run of the mill fuzzy leather bondage cuffs, he felt more comfortable strapping me down particularly due to the velcro closure. I think he's afraid of a fire and me ending up stuck to the bed, despite the fact the straps I rigged up have a quick release. The restraints are infinitely more comfortable than metal handcuffs, even the fuzzy, padded or feathered varieties.
I recommend these to anyone who's interested in bondage, be you dabbler or experienced enthusiast. They're excellent construction and surprising comfort makes them a bargain for the price all things considered, and lets face it, they're cute as a button with those little blue gems.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
The leather is still supple, the faux-fur still plush with no matting. The velcro holds as good as the first time we used them and the gems are still intact. I only wish I'd get to use them more often!
