Could Use Some Creativity
The Sex and Mischief Masquerade Mask by Sportsheets is something you'll want to buy on sale or get for free with a purchase. It's not a bad mask as it is durable and will fit most people, but the decoration looks like it was done by a child. I'd recommend it if you're a bit creative and plan on making the mask a bit more attractive in appearance.

Pros
Durable plastic, comfortable, tie closures make the mask a real one-size-fits-most.
Cons
decoration isn't that attractive, ties loosen, high price.
The Sex and Mischief Masquerade Mask by Sportsheets had arrived in a clear, plastic packaging. Inside of the plastic, the mask sat on a thin piece of cardboard. The front of the cardboard stated the name of the product. The back stated the product name, material composition, company name, and a story. The packaging is not discreet and it is not good for storing the mask when you’re not using it. The packaging can be recycled.
The recent promotion for the mask was that if you were to purchase a Sportsheets product, you would get the mask for free. I had been looking for a mask like this for a while. I didn’t really like the decoration on this mask but I had figured since it was free, I should get it and redecorate it. If you’re crafty you’ll probably do the same when you receive it since it’s not very attractive (in my opinion).
The mask is made of nylon and polypropylene. The mask is polypropylene, which is plastic. The plastic seems to be fairly durable. I assume that if you were to fold the mask in half, the mask would crack/break. The ties that secure the mask to the wearer’s head are the nylon. The ties are not stretchy. Each tie is 3/8 of an inch wide and 15 inches long. That being said, the ties should accommodate most sizes of heads.
The front of the mask is a bronze colour with gold, glittery accents. It reminds me of glitter glue. There are also a few black lines on the front of the mask that look like they were drawn on with a black, permanent marker. The entire mask was trimmed with a white, wavy fabric trim that has silver accents throughout it. The trim is 3/8 of an inch in length. The gold glitter glue and permanent marker lines at the front of the mask are not the same as they are in the product page photos.
The mask is approximately 9 ½ inches wide and 2 ¾ inches long down the centre front. The cut out holes where the eyes are measure 2 inches wide and just less than 1 inch long. I find the eyeholes a bit large for me but it’s good for those with larger eyes. The ties worked well to secure the mask around my face but I would have preferred an adjustable elastic band or something different. I had found that the ribbon-like tie closures would loosen the longer I had worn it.
I didn’t find the mask to be uncomfortable. I had read in a few reviews that the mask could hold in heat and make the wearer quite uncomfortable/sweaty. I had worn the mask for an hour, doing my daily routine. I didn’t notice any difference in perspiration. The only difference that I had noticed was that my cat looked at me awkwardly as if she was wondering who the heck I was. I assume that if you were to wear the mask during sexual intercourse, your face may get a bit hotter than usual.
As I had mentioned earlier, I had wanted one of these masks for a while now. I had browsed through local dollar stores to find a mask similar to this but had no luck. The ones I had found in the dollar store were either paper masks, or a cheaper plastic. I ended up getting this mask so I could redecorate it. While the mask would work nicely as a role-playing piece, I had wanted it for costume parties.
The mask could easily be wiped down with a bit of soap and water, rubbing alcohol, or even a bleach/water solution when you need to clean it.
Overall, I think this mask is “okay”. There really isn’t anything about this mask that blows me away. It’s nice that the ribbon tie closures allow for a true one-size-fits-most but I would have preferred a more elastic or adjustable closure to the mask. The decoration on the mask is nothing special. If you’re even just a little bit creative, you’ll probably want to revamp the mask. I’ve deducted two stars from the rating because it’s a bit expensive for what it is, and the decoration looks like a child did it. I’d only recommend this mask if you were getting it for half the price (or free) or if you knew that you were going to revamp it before purchasing.

You can buy 100% authentic Venetian masks from certain retailers. I own two myself. Though I use them as decor.
