These are a wonderful set of cuffs that are well made and have nothing wrong with them, except for the fact that my wife isn't really into bondage. I am light into it, and willing to try new things, but my wife not so much. I was hoping with a nice soft set of leather cuffs she would be more interested, but she isn't. We have only used these once in almost a year, so I would rate this a failure for us. But 5 stars for a well made product!
My wife and I have been using wrists and ankle cuffs for a while now. But the ones we have are from Liberator, and while they are very nice, as you can guess by my name, I wanted something made from leather. I have heard great things about Aslan leather, their high quality goods, great customer service, products made in Canada, and the Aslan guarantee. Add all these things together, and they are the only company that I looked to for leather cuffs. Since my wife and I aren't huge in bondage, these stayed in my wish list for a long time. But I was wanting matching wrist and ankle cuffs, and Aslan offers them in black or white. I was going to order the black eventually, but then I saw these on sale on Eden's website. I figured, I would order these first, and see if my wife and I liked them. And if we did, then we could order either black ankle cuffs to go with these from Aslan, or the full black Jaguar set from them.
These cuffs fit on my rather large wrists fine, with two larger slots still available. I know these are wrists cuffs, and I have even larger ankles, but I wanted to see if I could get them on. I was able to get the leather strap through the opening to secure it, but I was unable to get them close enough together to get them secured on the first opening on the cuff.
End to end laid out flat, the cuff measures 12 inches long. The red leather is 2 inches wide, and the black leather on top of this is 1 inch wide. There are a total of 7 rivets on each cuff. 1 for the clasp, 2 just somewhat in the middle for support, and then 4 more surrounding the 1 inch tall D ring. The clasp also features a hole for sliding a small lock through the cuff.
There are a total of 6 holes for adjustment of the size, going from a 1.5 inch diameter on the 5th hole (I couldn't get it to the 6th and smallest), up to about 3 inch diameter on the last hole. But if you need the last hole, you will have a gap in the red leather, and it might not be as secure.
Pulling them out of the box, I didn't notice any wonderful leather scent to them. But when I tried them on the first time a few days later and stuck my nose up to them, I was hit with a wonderful leather scent.
One thing before you get your hopes up to use your new leather cuffs, you have to make sure you have some method of attaching the cuffs together or to something else. Right now we just have the cuff set from Liberator, which attaches together with a plastic clip. None of the items we have from Liberator come with a d-ring, so we have nothing to attach these to. Also, we have nothing to even attach the cuffs together with. So when we were at the hardware store the other day, we made sure to pick up 2 double ended clips like for a dog leash. Another option would be to pick up something like this hog tie set from Eden.
The first time using these with my wife, because they were still a little stiff, I had to help her a little to get them on my wrists. Then once they were secured, my wife secured them together with a clip from the hardware store, then used the same clip to secure my wrists to our Black Label Stage from Liberator. She had me secured both on my stomach for the beating, and on my back for the fucking. After she was done and left me secured, I tried to get myself free. It took me a few minutes and many attempts just to be able to reach the plastic clip to release myself from the Stage. I then tried and failed to get myself free from the clip holding the cuffs together. But through all of my struggling and twisting, I only had a slight red mark on my arms from the cuffs. No pain, no pulling sounds from the cuffs, nothing. What a great pair of cuffs!
According to the care instructions included with the cuffs, clean the leather with a moist cloth and a little dish soap or leather cleaner, and wipe the area to be cleaned. Then immediately wipe off the excess soap with a moist cloth, and pat dry. Then store the leather out of sunlight, away from direct heat, and in a cool dry place. The label also tells you to never soak or submerge your leather product in water, and never hang to dry. To protect the metal rivets, you can apply a clear coat of nail polish. If your leather starts to look like it is drying out, you can use a leather conditioner.
There was no packaging at all when these came to me from Eden. They were placed in the box, flat against each other, and secured together with their latches. There is a small tag attached to one of them, with care instructions included, and info about the Aslan Guarantee. No wasted materials, and barely anything to recycle.
The Aslan Guarantee- "Your ASLAN item is guaranteed for LIFE! If your item breaks during normal wear or is defective, Please contact us and we will repair or replace the item."

Still a wonderful product that really doesn't get used all that often. But when they do get pulled out, they are always so soft against the skin, and so nice to look at. I would still love to get a matching set of ankle cuffs in these colors, but since they don't get used that often, it would be a slight waste of money. But they would last for a very long time, just like these will.
