Caress with your Bondage
While the Luxury Silk Sashes aren't great for heavy use, they are perfect for soft, sensual romantic bondage play. They are 100% pure silk, feel luxurious, and caress the skin.

Pros
Very sensual and soft, storage pouch, great for pictures, high-quality
Cons
A bit pricey, a bit short on length
The Luxury Silk Bondage Sashes from Liberator are two pieces of long, luxurious silk intended to be used for bondage - much like rope would. Each sash is seven feet long, and Liberator does sell them in 14 foot lengths. Each strand is also four inches in width. It comes in a cream, black, and red. I own the "Champagne/Cream", and it's very true to picture.
I know there have been some past complaints about the sashes not coming in the pictured packaging, but mine came in the packaging pictured. It comes in plain, black box on the outside just to protect it from crinkling. On the inside of the box, you can open up, there is the product itself. Mine was wrapped in a gorgeous pink ribbon with the instruction/idea book slipped in between the product and the ribbon. The black pouch shown in the pictures is actually a pouch. It opens up, and on each side of the pouch, there is a little pocket for one of the two silk restraints. There's really no way to actually "seal" the pouch, so you have to allow it to lay out flat or it will just flop open.
The little idea book included does give some good pointers. It shows wrists and ankles being tied together, a couple body harnesses, some decorative bondage, and women being tied to Liberator shapes. It also lists care information for the product. This isn't a step-by-step guide, though, but it does give some neat pictures that will give you ideas. For a step-by-step approach, you'd need to purchase a how-to rope bondage book.
Something to consider with the Liberator Sashes is the length. Like stated before, these are seven feet long. This is virtually nothing in "kink" terms - most body harnesses take at least 30 feet. You only have 14 feet in total at your disposal. This means you won't be able to do most larger harnesses, but you can easily tie up wrists, ankles, or tie wrists or ankles to other objects. You could easily do some decorative pieces as well. Along with this, Liberator recommends you can use these restraints with their Black Label sets (also sold here on EF) to tie your partner to a piece of sex furniture. Of course, your partner can also be tied to bedposts or anything else - just try to remember that silk is really soft, and as such, it will slip against some surfaces if there isn't anything to hold it against the surface.
What I enjoy most about this silk is that it isn't frightening. If you want to tie up your partner but have never attempted it before, someone is much more likely to say "yes" to these gorgeous restraints than some plain-white rope you picked up at the local store. Plus, you don't feel quite as scared tying someone up - after all, this is soft sensual silk.
Since this is silk, I'm really going to recommend against tying too many knots or tight ties on it. Silk doesn't un-knot really easily which would make this the biggest $75 waste of money if you tied a knot too tight to undo. I'd recommend you tie bows like the book demonstrates. Those bows will come undone, though, and for that reason, after you're done tying your bow, take the two loops and give them an extra criss-cross to keep it from slipping and releasing itself. A bow isn't too difficult to untie but can still hold strong which makes it perfect if you want to make sure your silk sashes stay in one piece.
The silk pieces are pretty thin - just like silk tends to be. But it feels amazing. This silk is easily some of the softest silk I've ever felt. It feels luxurious up against the skin, and if you want to impress a play partner with your bondage skills, this is easily a way to do it since it feels so soft and is so different than regular "rope". It doesn't feel "fake" at all - I'm sure this is real silk, and it feels that way. It slides up against the skin and when it's pulled tightly for a tie, it doesn't feel uncomfortable or cut into the skin like rope sometimes can. If you want your bondage to look pretty, it does take a little bit of extra effort to make sure the silk strands don't fold into themselves though. The silk itself is strong as well - it seems to hold up to any struggling we gave it, and it felt like quality, so we weren't afraid it was going to tear either.

Experience
I am a bit concerned about my Champagne restraints. They are an off-white, so I'm taking care to keep them away from messes or lubricant. For cleaning, Liberator recommends hand washing or dry cleaning with a towel dry. It recommends not using any sort of machine to wash these for you. For storage, they fold up perfectly to fit right back into the original storage bag they came in.
Whether you purchase these restraints is up to what you expect. I know they're expensive - they're also high-quality. It is slightly overpriced for two seven-foot pieces of silk, but they're also gorgeous, 100% real silk, and downright soft and beautiful. If you want to try sensual, romantic bondage, this works amazingly. If you want to try your first attempt at tying up your partner, this will make them feel loved instead of scared. If you are experienced with rope and want a new sensation, this will impress others by the amazing quality and sensual appearance. If you are a photographer (or want new, sexy Fetlife pictures), these restraints provide a beautiful alternative to the usual rope. If you are looking for soft, sensual bondage, the Luxury Silk Bondage Sashes.

Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
I still like our Luxury Silk Bondage Sashes. They are a bit expensive, and I'm worried about ripping them, but they've still done a great job holding tight for bondage, and they look really attractive while using them. We've used them a couple times for different bondage pictures, and they just look really sexy. I still love these.

Thanks for such a good review. Even though I'm fine with locking shackles, my partner isn't quite there yet. These will look (and feel!!!) elegant and ease any fears of "hurting me."
