The Fur Lined paddle by Sportsheets is a fabulous toy for beginners and advanced users. It is a great teasing toy, that you can also use to give soft, or hard stingy spanks. Depending on how you swing this paddle you can impart some very hard stingy hits and also the softer teasing spanks. The fur side is great for stroking your partner and rubbing over sore cheeks after a good spanking.

This is a double sided paddle, one side is leather and the other is faux fur. It is not vegan friendly and does have a slight leather smell but not what I expected. There is a spine running down the middle for stability which you can feel through the fabric but not during spanking; the spine feels very strong and doesn't bend much.

The leather is very high quality, about 1/2 inch thick and smooth, the stitching seems to be very secure although I am not a fan of the brown raw edge of the leather. The Sportsheets logo is stamped into the handle on the leather side. The faux fur also feels very high quality, it's not scratchy or thin, the color is a very deep red(also available in Black)and is very soft. I just want to keep stroking it! The grain of the fur runs away from the handle making it very nice for stroking your partner with and feels like it is securely attached.

This paddle has a 14.5 in overall length, 5 in handle and 9.5 in long x 2 3/4 in wide of paddle so it is a fairly good size, big enough to hit both cheeks at the same time. It has a great little loop that is sewn into the paddle instead of attached with a rivet, which I think provides more stability and security. You can use the loop as a wristband or to hang your paddle, but it is a little small, so if you have large wrists it may not work.

I loved this toy and so did my Mr. I like a nice hard stinging spank, where as he likes the softer spanks and stroking touches, which this paddle delivers extremely well. We are beginners in the light BDSM world, before now we have only used hands and various household utensils as toys, so this paddle was a great step up from those. The Mr. took a little time getting used to the swing in order to get the right amount of sting, but once he got it, "mmmmm baby, it hurt so good!" This paddle also leaves a great aftersting, and sometimes, a bruise or welt if you are into the harder hits. It is not a quiet toy, so make sure you use it with some background noise.

Because this is leather, you can wipe it down with a wet cloth, you can also use mild soap if absolutely necessary. The Fake fur is machine washable but because it is attached to the leather I would not recommend doing that, so you can also wipe off any spills that may have got on it and leave it to dry. You can store this either in your toy box, drawer or with the little loop you could hang this on display. If you are going to store it in a box or drawer make sure it is protected from sharp objects and toys that may not play nice together, I can see from mine I have already got a little nick in the leather from having it sitting out on a table.

You can have a lot of fun as a couple finding all the ways to use this paddle and get different feelings, I know we certainly did. Explore to your hearts content there is no right or wrong way to use this paddle.

I love using this, it is very sturdy and easy to hold for both me and my Mr. There can be a small learning curve to get the right strength of swing, for what your partner likes, but it isn't a complicated toy to figure out and you will have a lot of fun doing so. This is a great toy for beginners to the BDSM world to help figure out if you are Dominant or Submissive. I had always thought I was the dominant type, but it turns out I much prefer the submissive role. The only downside is the small size of the wrist loop, if you have larger hands or wrists it does not work as a wrist strap, it was a tight squeeze for my Mr. to get over his hand.
