The Sex and Mischief Spread the Love bar is a spreader bar that is best for those who are into light BDSM, beginners to BDSM, or those who are actually able to fit the cuffs. This is not the kind of spreader bar that advanced users will love because it lacks in quality for performance. This is the kind of spreader bar that is best for experimentation with spreader bars. Unfortunately, this spreader bar will not fit everyone because the cuffs have a limited circumference of 11.5". So, anyone with wrist or ankles larger than 11.5" will not be able to be restrained with this spreader bar.

Spreader bars are bondage equipment that consist of a metal or wooden bar with cuffs attached. The cuffs are used to bond the wrist, ankles, or knees of a submissive person. When the submissive is bond using the spreader bar it leaves their arms or legs spread. If the purpose is spreading the arms this will not allow the person to touch them self and leaving their torso wide open. If the spreader bar is used at the ankles or the knees it will leave the submissive immobilized and it will prevent them from all activities except really awkward walking. Especially if the submissive is forced to bend their knees. Once the submissive is bond to the spreader bar it can then be attached to furniture or another suspension device that is attached to the floor or ceiling, but some spreader bars are only meant to be attached to the submissive. This piece is not meant to be attached to any suspension device. Please do not attempt this because it is not secure enough to attach it to any device.

Pictured above is me attached to the spreader bar, but one handed, so I could take the photo. This spreader bar doesn't have to bond you at the wrist and ankles, but can be used for one or the other in any of the four cuffs.

This spreader bar works well, but I would like to have been more SPREAD. 13.5" isn't far enough. I find that distance also gives me a pinched nerve if I am in the right position. If you have issues with pinched nerves a spreader bar might not be ideal for you.

This spreader bar worked best for us when I was bond at the ankles and the wrist. I laid on my back while my partner performed oral sex and whatever else he wanted to do. I was left at his mercy. So, it did exactly what we wanted it to do, however, the spreader bar is fairly cheap. If you are looking for rough play, the stitching is not going to hold up, so you are going to want to invest in better spreader bar. Luckily Eden Fantasys has them available.

The poor constriction with the stitching means that you could easily rip the stitching. This would leave your spreader bar useless. This also means that this spreader bar can't be used by attaching to any other kind of suspension. That would not be safe as this bar is flimsy and doing so could result in injury.

Some porn star packaging is what you seem to get with all the Sex and Mischief products. There is a topless model on the front who is bond at the legs with the spreader bar. The box is labeled Sex and Mischief and naming the product the "Spread the Love Bar." On the back is the start of some eroctica that you can continue to read on their website. There is a QR code to take you right to the website. The box does tell you what it is made out of and some useful information, but not much. It is a durable, but bulky box. It should be wrapped fro gifting. It's not ideal for long term storage, but short term it's fine.

The only way you will need to wash this spreader bar is if you get anything on it. If you do, you should spot clean with a damp cloth. That should be enough to remove what you got on it. The faster you wash the stain off the better luck you will have with removing it. I don't recommend soaking the entire piece in water because it could damage the craftsmanship.

Storage really isn't too bad with this spreader bar. As long as you have a draw that can handle 14" in length you should be able to store it inside with no issues. It won't take up more room than a large ruler. The object in not discreet, so hide it from those you wish not to see it.

We did enjoy this spreader bar, but I think we are a little beyond this type of bondage. I look forward to purchasing a higher quality spreader bar. This is a great one to test out and see if you are interested in spreader bars before spending $60+ on other types. According to a few pages I found this spreader bar available at, it retails for about $30.00.

I have given this spreader bar 3 stars because it only has a max circumference of 11.5" for the cuffs, the bar isn't adjustable, and the poor construction.
