The use of this product is for beginners to experiment in the world of bondage. This kit features straps in which you place under the bed and over the top of the mattress to cuff your partner down, making them completely accessible to you in the position of your choosing. All levels of experience can use this kit for bondage play, from beginner to advanced, users will find something to love about this simple to use kit. It's simple to pack away in luggage, and no one will be the wiser that you have a little kink in mind for your vacation or honeymoon.

The design is standard to most of the other under the bed restraint systems out there. It consists of the adjustable strap that lies beneath the mattress and folds over either the sides of the bed or head and foot of the bed to attach the four cuffs that come with the kit. The strap that goes under the mattress is adjustable, and will fit most beds up to a standard king size. The straps are made from tough nylon, while the buckles that adjust them are made from a hard plastic. The o-rings on both the cuffs and the end of each strap that they attach to are made from metal, in a key-ring style.

All of the hardware included with this kit seems sturdy enough, but the cuffs aren't as tough as the strap that they attach to. The cuffs are made from velcro, nylon and fleece. This material makes the cuffs easier to put on and take off, so beginners can easily switch up positions faster. The cuff is a fleece cuff with a velcro and nylon strip sewn to it. The ring is located in the middle of the cuff, and has a swivel hook clip attached to it. The clip can easily be taken off and switched to the o-ring on the strap that goes under the bed.

The strap that goes under the bed is fairly smooth and shouldn't rub against the user's mattress or dig into it so much that it leaves lasting damage. The cuffs themselves are made from fleece, so they're fairly soft and won't cut into the wrists of the person being strapped down, or chafe their skin in any way. The cuffs do heat the skin up, so users might sweat where the cuffs are against the skin. There was a new smell to the kit when it was first opened, but the kit will air out and the smell will not be detectable any longer. If you don't wish to take the kit on and off of the bed, you can simply tuck the straps under the mattress for a very discreet look.

The total lengths of the straps and cuffs are as follows:

Middle strap (runs down length of bed under the mattress) - 54"
Individual ankle and wrist straps (over the sides of the mattress) - 50"
Each cuff - 15" in length

Once adjusted to the right size of the mattress and height of your partner, the kit works perfectly. For light play, the cuffs are great at restraining your partner, and shouldn't come undone with tugging or writhing around. Since the cuffs are removable, you could wear your own cuffs and hook them to the straps provided that they have an o-ring or d-ring to hook the clip to, making this kit even more appealing to not only beginners, but advanced users as well. The velcro cuffs do hold up to more than light tugging, because I put them on and tugged harshly at them, trying to get them to come undone and they didn't. Both my ankles and wrists remained restrained, even with my strength behind the pulling on them. That's not to say that the cuffs won't snap, they just didn't do so when I tested them, and the sewn seams stayed intact, not showing any signs of wear and tear.

The kit is very easy to install. You can place the kit on the top of the mattress and adjust the middle portion of the strap that extends the length of the mattress before slipping it under your mattress and adjusting the wrist and ankle straps that wrap over the sides or head and foot of the mattress. Clip on the cuffs that came with the set, or remove the swivel hook clip from the cuff's key ring o-ring and slip it onto the key ring at the ends of the straps to clip your own cuffs on. Whether you want to have your partner on their back, on their stomach, or in the doggy position, you can set the straps to do so comfortably for each one. This set nor the cuffs are meant for suspension, so don't use this kit for it.

Should your cuffs or straps get dirty for whatever reason, you can wipe them down with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry. If you'd like, you can leave the straps on your bed, and simply tuck them under the mattress, or you can remove them and store them in a box or drawer for a handy time when you want to pull them out. This under the bed system is that easy to take care of!

The soft touch under the bed kit was packaged very minimally and did not come with instructions or how-to's in order to set it up. The straps and cuffs were all packaged in one sealed plastic bag. The kit was shipped inside of a plain, unmarked box with only Web Merchants Inc. as the address. There were not any kind of details as to what was inside of the box. Inside of the box there were also air pillows to keep the kit from shifting around, and the receipt for the kit. In with the kit inside of the plastic bag there was also silica gel so that the item didn't get moisture inside of the bag.

All of the packaging for this set is recyclable. If you want to gift this set to someone, another wrapped box or gift bag will work for how the set is neatly packaged into a sealed bag. The set does not take up a lot of space while still in the sealed plastic bag.

I would have included photos with this review of the nylon material and the texture of the soft fleece, but unfortunately, my camera did not pick up on either. Another thing not mentioned above, the fleece cuffs are fairly thin, and I could feel the ring through the material in use when the cuff was fairly tight.
