The Sutra cuffs are a kink product from Lelo's line of sensual accessories. They can be bought as a standalone product or as part of Lelo's "Adore Me" pleasure set, which is how I got mine.

As with any handcuffs, the Sutra cuffs are great for adding a fun element of bondage to any sexual experience. However, for reasons I'll discuss below, these cuffs are more about the fantasy of bondage and can't really provide actual restraint against someone who is struggling. So, I'd only recommend these to folks who are ordinarily pretty vanilla and want to explore kinky fantasy play; real, hardcore kinksters will likely be dissatisfied with these cuffs.

The cuffs themselves are made of silk and suede. The chain linking the cuffs together is made of metal, with another section of silk in the middle. It's worth noting that the metal is nickel-free, so if you have a nickel allergy or you intend to use these cuffs with someone who does, you have nothing to worry about with these.

My wrists are on the smaller side, and there is easily two to three fingers' worth of extra space in each cuff when my wrists are in them. This means that the cuffs are very loose on me: they can slide halfway up my forearm if I raise my hands in the air, and it's also very easy for me to wriggle out of them. This is why I say that these cuffs aren't great for real kinksters: it's all too easy to escape from them. Someone wanting to experiment with legitimate restraint should look for cuffs that are lockable and/or adjustable, as these Sutra ones are mostly for show.

However, with that in mind, these cuffs can still be enjoyable. They are very fancy and beautiful, so they evoke a Christian Grey-esque fantasy of being with someone wealthy and powerful.

I should also note that my boyfriend has significantly thicker wrists than I do and he isn't able to escape from these cuffs nearly as easily as I am. However, I still don't trust them to hold up in real kink scenarios. They just don't seem terribly durable (though I will say that I've pulled as hard as I can on mine and they have not broken yet).

Each cuff has a metal clasp on it, so that the cuffs can be attached to one another, making for a more intense restraint experience.

The metal chainlinks make a jangly sound when you move your hands around. This sound will be annoying to some and arousing to others. I mostly find it annoying.

As noted above: these cuffs don't keep me physically restrained, because it's easy for me to escape from them, due to their looseness on my wrists.

They feel sexy as hell when they're on, though, because of their luxurious materials.

At $86, these cuffs are priced way, way higher than they ought to be. Buying the "Adore Me" set is a better value because you get three items and all are discounted, but even then, it's pricey. I think there are cheaper cuffs out there that work much better than these, frankly.
