Ready to get a leash for your "bad boy?" Already have a few of the chain and neoprene variety and wanting another? The Bad Boy Leash is a lovely leather leash made by Ruff Doggie Styles. It has a substantial length, good for taking "puppies/kitties" on walks, and is very well-made and attractive. I had always been fine with my regular chain and neoprene leashes, but since I am a leather fetishist, I needed to get this one.

When I took the leash out of the box, I immediately got the beautiful scent of leather. This leather is so soft and smells so delicious, so if you're a leather fanatic like me, this is definitely a plus. All along the leash, the white and black leather strips are braided, giving a beautiful, almost snake-like, appearance. Near the clip of the leash and near the handle are two areas of black braided leather, used to enforce and keep the leash tightly held together.

The leather is very movable, meaning that it's easy to tug on and twist or contort without cracking or becoming difficult. So if your bad boy or girl decides to run around your legs in circles, the leash will not be harmed in any way. I was actually surprised that it was so soft—it makes this leash good even for taking animal pets out, if you so wish.

In addition to being easily moved and manipulated, the leash's metal clip is a swivel clip which turns a complete 360 degrees. It opens very easily as it has a large piece on its side; it reminds me almost of one of those soft touch staplers, which are great for people who have arthritis. The clip should fit in all d- or o-rings.

So now for the length of the leash. Since it's about the same size as my chain leash, I felt that it was of a decent length. The handle is a total of 7", whereas the entirety of the leash has a length of 38", from tip of the handle to top of the clip. It can easily be doubled over if you want shorter range, or can be kept at its entire size if you want your pet to have more "freedom."

For its packaging, the leash came to me in a regular plastic bag with a tag attached to the handle. Minimal, and it works. If you're wanting to store the leash, you can either hang it up somewhere in a closet or on a wall or fold it up and put it in a drawer. Just make sure to not let it stay in damp areas for too long, as the leather may become molded or marred.

In my opinion, this is a great leash. I feel that it's well worth the money, because not only are you getting a leash made entirely out of leather, but you're also getting a leash that will last for a long time, turn heads, and smell great.
