The Doggin Bat is a short crop with a larger head. Measuring only 24" long, it is smaller than the standard crop, which is normally too long to travel easily with. This toy provides a nice alternative toy that travels easier but still delivers the same effect.

The head of this bat is larger than the standard on crops. It is about 1.5-inches wide at the widest point and is made of two pieces of leather instead of one looped around. The two pieces are connected a little more than half way up the head and are not connected at the end. The two parts create more of a "slapper" effect that has a great smacking sound!



The shaft of the bat is flexible and covered in a nylon webbing. The handle is covered in leather and has two metal covers on each side. Note that there is also metal connecting the head of the bat to the shaft, so be sure not to hit your partner with that unless they want more pain.



As far as pain level, I give this one a 3/5 because I'd say it can be used by beginners to moderately experienced users of BDSM. It gives lighter smacks than most crops due to the long, flexible head. However, you can still get redness from this toy, and submissives will enjoy it a whole lot. Full-blown masochists might want to move on to something more, using this toy more as a warm-up instead of the main focus of the play session. However, even experienced users can enjoy this toy.

There is no packaging or cleaning instructions with this product. Because it is leather, I suggest keeping it away from bodily fluids. A damp paper towel can be used to wipe away any dust or dirt, but other than that you should not need to clean this toy.

Storing is easier than with most crops, but can still be a bit difficult. I suggest a larger toy box or a gym bag, though you can store this anywhere clean and dry. It sadly does not come with a hanging strap. Because of the size, however, traveling with a suitcase or duffel bag is a lot easier due to the short length.

Overall, this product is a very nice toy for those into light spanking or looking for a good warm-up toy before heavier impact. The quality of the materials seem good, and I have not had problems with its construction during my use of it so far. This is one of my lighter toys, but I still enjoy using it for warm-up, or on partners with lower pain tolerances.

This has been a fun little toy that I bring when I have to travel for playing with partners. I appreciate the size, as it's often hard to travel with large crops. It serves its purpose, usually as a warm up, but can be used with decent force. I am pleased to report it has not shown any signs of damage during use.
