I purchased the Ruff Doggie Styles Bad Boy Leash in hopes of acquiring a unique leather leash and while it fits the bill there are a few things I would definitely change if I could.

The thing I noticed right off the bat with this leash is that it's very solidly made, and while this is a good thing it also was the main reason this leash didn't do it for me; it's very thick and strong looking which makes it look sort of silly when a cute kitten such as myself is attached to it. What I mean is that the leash looks like something made for a beast, or an actual dog (which means this could easily be taken with you when traveling as it can definitely pass as a true dog leash) more than a kinky leash so if you want something cute or undaunting this leash may not be the best choice.

As well the other thing I knew I would run into but was hoping to overlook due to other aspects of this leash was the rather short length, don't get me wrong because this leash is perfect for keeping your human pet/submissive/whatever on a rather short leash and close to you; it does that job quite well. Though I am a submissive kitten I tend to like to explore my surroundings so the shortness of this leash was kind of 'meh' for me, its just long enough that anyone under 6' tall can closely lead another person thats on all fours (like an animal) around yet have very little length for them to wander; this leash may not be long enough for those that are overly tall and want to do the aforementioned so that's yet another thing to check off when you're considering this product.

The handle portion of the leash is 9.5" including the 'knot' and 39" from end to end (including the very sturdy metal clip to attach to collars/etc which isn't cheap looking and holds up against strain very well!) which is about a foot shorter than most leashes available most commonly and the leather is very stiff when you first get it so you may want to 'break it in' by flexing it around a bit so its flexible enough to accommodate your needs.

You probably can use some leather conditioning/cleaning products with this leash though the latter may not be very effective due to the criss-cross weaving which may let dirt/fluids/etc hide since the weaving is quite tight so its not overly easy for that to happen.

Overall while this leash does have its faults I still like it, it will probably stay in my collection as my 'bad kitten' leash in case I become too naughty which is quite possible heh.

I still don't really use this leash much, its bulkiness and short length make it kind of awkward to use except in really close quarters which rarely occur. It has held up quite nicely and is a finely crafted product however so I recommend if you're interested in this, think about how often you'll use it as well as for what.
