This whip is a great thuddy whip! Any masochist knows there are whips that sting and there are whips that thud, this is the latter. It makes no difference if you are flat on your back or tummy, bound to a chair, strung up in a door way, or strapped to a St. Andrew's Cross, this whip packs a punch.

While the grip of this whip takes a bit of getting used to, once the person swinging it does so, the swing is nice and smooth. This flogger surprised my partner because, despite the look and initial feel when you pick it up, it is a well balanced whip, which is always a good thing. It is short enough that it does not get tangled when swinging it, and it can be wielded in one steady, smooth swing. The only complaint my partner had was the lack of a wrist strap, which is his personal preference.

The intensity of this whip's strike is easy to vary by changing the speed and style of the swing. When the whip strikes, you do feel it and know what is hitting you. When used to gently stroke the skin, especially after a strike, the ends of the falls of this whip provide a lovely, satiny feel against the skin. It is very unlikely this whip will break the skin, simply because of the make up of the whip. We have used it several times for up to an hour each time and have never drawn blood! It will turn your skin a deep red, though, which, depending on your preferences, can be a good thing because this will allow you to use this whip for longer periods of time. It has also never left a welt that lasts longer then an hour!

Even though this whip does take a little longer to warm up your skin, it is a great all over whip. It can be used on almost any whip friendly body part, although I would not suggest using it around the vaginal area because the falls are silk-like rope and will absorb any vaginal lubrication present. Pairing this with a blind fold, ear plugs and a gag creates an even deeper sensation since you will not know what is coming.

The ends of the falls of this whip do not fray very easily, but it is a concern. That fact, plus the metal clip at the end of the grip, make it a little harder to clean, running a barely damp lint free cloth over the falls has been the best way I have found to clean it. Hanging it on the bathroom door while taking a shower, allowing the steam to do its thing, is an effective way to kill any germs that may be on the whip after use.

This is a great thing to bring with you to a party or to use on multiple people since it does not break the skin itself, but, as always, be careful when sharing with someone who already has broken skin.

This whip is still impressive. My husband has taken the frayed ends of the tails and used them to tickle and tease before giving a full force blow from the whip.
Over the last few months, though, the frayed ends have become a little less silky, taking on a more dull hue instead of the crisp sheen they had at first. Any tangles can be worked out with the fingers.

One of my main concerns with this whip was the ends fraying more. This has not happened, even after repeated uses. There seems to be an invisible stitch keeping it from fraying more.

Even after a few months, this is a great whip! I just wish there was a wrist strap built in.
