Pros
Beautiful design, very comfortable, adjust to fit most wrists and ankles, versatile, very sturdy.
Cons
No quick release, a little complicated to get on and off, not a one-hand job.
The Patent Leather Bow Wrist Restraint by JT Stockroom is definitely one of the sexiest set of cuffs I’ve ever come across. The unique design and durability of the material comes together to make a very desirable and well-made product.
Each restraint is handmade and it is clear just by looking at it that the Bow Restraint is very high quality. We tugged and yanked on this product, and it’s not going to tear.
The leather that makes up the bow is smooth with a high shine on the front and velvety on the back. The actually cuffing part of the restraint is made of softer, more flexible leather that is also thicker than the ribbon-like bow material.
The Bow Restraint arrived simply in plastic with a JT Stockroom tag attached to the lock on a thong of red scrap leather, which also held the two keys. It came completely assembled and with no directions. As the pictures show, as soon as you remove the lock from the d-ring in the center the whole apparatus separates: the bow comes off entirely and the two cuffs unfold into one belt of leather with slits on either side of the ring.
To set these on someone’s wrists, you fold one side of the belt to form a loop around one wrist and slip the ring through the nearest slit. Do the same with the second wrist, stacking the leather on top of the d-ring. Then insert the d-ring through the slot in the bow and seal the stack in place with the lock. There, now your plaything is ready to be unwrapped.
If you are going to be attaching the bow (you can use these cuffs with or without the bow, if you choose), you’ll want to find the slit that would make the cuffs nice and secure and then go one looser than you normally would as the addition of the bow tightens the cuffs. If you tighten the loops all the way before adding the bow, there will be very little give and the bow will be very difficult to get on and off. Even with this precaution, I found putting these cuffs on to be a little awkward at first, as though I needed three hands to do it. But the more I did it, the easier it got.
The belt loop design makes this product very adjustable. This should fit any size wrist (the cuff fits easily around my bicep on its last loop), and would fit most ankles. In case you want to measure, there is a foot of leather on either side of the ring to work with.
Once on, these cuffs are extremely comfortable. The wide straps provide even pressure and the soft leather keeps the edges from cutting in skin. Even with extended wear, these stayed comfy for both of us. After a long and not so gentle play session with these, neither of us had any marks or bruising on our wrists and neither of us felt sore or chaffed.
Getting them off was the one part of these cuffs where I had a bit of trouble. If the bow is attached, there is very little extra room to wiggle the lock out of its place. It took us some time to be able to undo the cuffs. As there is no quick release (besides going at these beauties with EMT scissors) you’d want to make sure you or your partner is comfortable being in bondage and not in a situation where you/s/he would need to get out of the restraints NOW instead of waiting for someone to jiggle the lock for a minute before getting them off. This is the only reason I couldn’t give this product a full 5 stars. Without the bow, this is much less of a problem.

Experience
Besides the unique design of the cuffs, the bow is really what makes this toy. On a psychological level, it’s a real turn on to see my love trussed up with a bow—the perfect toy for my little toy. My partner felt the same way in that it made her feel like a human present and that her body was really a gift put in my keeping.
Plus I’m a sucker for the smell of leather.

Thank you for viewing Patent leather bow wrist restraint – cuffs review page!
Good review!
I think anyone into Gothic Lolita would also love this, hehe.
I was wondering though, do you think you could attach the bow to any other type of restraint? It's a bit hard for me to see in the pictures, but as you said you push the d-ring through the slot in the bow then lock it, well it gave me some hope that with a bit of creativity maybe you could slot it on to something else? I have to admit I'm huge a bow lover, so I'd love to get a chance to use it on some other items if that would be possible, but that might be a very vain hope!
