The Fetish Fantasy Under The Bed Restraints is a bondage kit from Pipedream. It is a four-point restraint system with cuffs for both your ankles and your wrists. It is fully adjustable so the level of restraint experienced is customizable to a certain extent. It’s a great kit for someone who is looking to experiment with bondage but does not have a headboard or bed posts. This kit also includes a free eye mask. The eye mask is a standard, black eye mask that is functional but not the best quality. If you are looking to fully block yours or your partners vision, I would recommend looking into a better quality mask.

It is a great kit for beginners because it is so unintimidating in appearance and can provide light restraint. This kit may leave some advanced users disappointed as it does not truly restrain a person. This was mine and my partner’s first foray into bondage, save for a cheap pair of handcuffs from Spencers. This kit allowed us to experiment with bondage in an easy, safe, and comfortable way. When restrained, I was still able to move my arms and legs around enough that I felt comfortable. I knew that, if I really needed to, I could escape the restraints with some effort.

This system has one long strap that lays under the mattress and has four “branches” or tethers on it that reach up over the mattress. The cuffs are attached to the tethers by of a keyring and a clip. The cuffs can be removed and replaced if you have a pair of cuffs you prefer over the included cuffs. Every piece of this system is completely adjustable via a small plastic slider, similar to those found on backpack straps. The tethers can be placed so they come up either over the sides of the mattress or over the head and foot of the mattress in use. Placing them over the side will give you a more “spread eagle” position as your legs and arms will be spread out towards the sides of the bed. Placing the cuffs over the head and foot of the bed will keep your arms and legs straight and close together.

The box for this set claims that the entire system is made of nylon, metal, plastic, and velvet. The center strap and tethers are all made of a nylon webbing. The rings and clips the cuffs are connected by are made of metal. The sliding adjuster clips are made of plastic. I call shenanigans on the velvet claim though. I’m assuming this refers to the cuffs, which appear to me to be made of neoprene. If this is really velvet, I’ve never felt such velvet in my life. The cuffs also feature Velcro closures. All pieces of this set seem to be really good quality. I haven’t had a problem with any rips, tears, frays, or broken pieces. The neoprene does seem like it could rip during heavy play but so far I’ve only had it wrinkle. One of my plastic clips does fall off occasionally but that’s really my fault, I have the tethers as loose as they can go most of the time. If anything were to break during heavy play, my guess is it would be the keyring and the clip on the cuffs. The nylon straps themselves seem very strong and sturdy.








To install the Under the Bed Restraint System, you must first place the center strap down the middle length of your bed frame or box spring, under the mattress. Once it is centered, you pull the tethers and cuffs off of the bed frame or box spring so they are hanging down off the sides or the head/foot of the bed, depending on your placement choice. Then place the mattress back on the bed frame or box spring and voila, you have a full, four-point restraint system ready for use.

As far as fit goes, this system is fully adjustable. The wrist and ankle cuffs fit me (6 inch wrists, 8.75 inch ankles) and my partner perfectly. We can also adjust the tethers to account for height differences. I’m 5’4”, he’s 6’ so I need to have the tethers much looser in order to reach my legs and arms. He needs them much tighter. Thankfully, this system works well for that. The neoprene section of the cuffs is 10 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. The hook portion of the Velco is 7 inches long and the loop portion of the Velcro is 7.25 inches long along the top,outside portion of the neoprene. The amount of Velcro makes it fit a large range of wrist and ankle sizes.

As far as fitting the mattress, this set should work on a large range of mattress sizes. I have a queen size mattress with a four inch memory foam mattress topper. Because of the nature of our bed frame, we do not use a box spring so this system rests between our mattress and our bed frame. The cuffs come up onto the mattress about 7 inches on each side when they are fully loosened. If you do not have a mattress topper, they will be able to reach further into the mattress. King or California King size mattress owners may have problems with the tethers being long enough if they place them to the side. However, they should work just fine if placed over the head and foot of the mattress because of the nature of the long center strap.

This set performed well for light bondage play. I was still able to move and squirm when “restrained” by this system. The cuffs were all comfortable and I did not experience any irritation from the cuffs during use. If you’re looking for a more restraining system, I would not recommend this set, but for someone looking for a beginner set, this is great.

This system does not need much in the way of care. A large portion of the system is unexposed and under the bed. If the cuffs or the part of the tethers that are on the side of the bed do come in contact with some bodily fluids, lubes, or oils during use, you can wipe them down with a wet washcloth. If the metal parts of this system get damaged, I assume you can replace them similar keyrings or clips. Depending on what you use to replace them, the quality of your system may be compromised.

Storing this system could not be easier. It practically stores itself since most of it is under the bed. To hide the system completely, you can tuck the tethers under the mattress with or without the cuffs attached. If you detach the cuffs, they can be stored in a drawer, a bag, or with your other sex toys and accessories.

The packaging of this kit is not discreet in the least bit. It comes packaged in a white, cardboard box that features the name of the set and company. In the middle of the box is a photo of a woman restrained by the set and she is wearing what appears to be a leather top and hot pants set. The back has what little instructions it gives with a diagram of the system. The box is not necessary for storage.

Overall, I do love this set. Considering my partner and I are still new to bondage, this set is perfect.The system does not truly restrain me, which is something I would not be comfortable with at this point. The fact that it is so adjustable is a huge plus because my partner and I are both very different heights. I may sound like a broken record by now, but this is a great set for beginners but would probably leave advanced users disappointed.
