A great set of girly cuffs for beginners, a great sub decoration for advanced users, but not a set of useful cuffs.
Published:
Pros
Great for beginners, pretty, vegan.
Cons
Not for advanced users, too stretchy.
I need to explain this up front, My girlfriend and I are an active BDSM couple, we are a bit past the beginner stages of BDSM. So I am going to break this review into two sections and they will be labelled as such.
For Beginners:
If you are looking for a comfortable, soft, pretty looking and easy to use cuff that gives you the feel of wearing a big serious cuff without the sound and awkwardness of Velcro, these are your cuffs. My girlfriend was comfortable wearing these cuffs for hours, other than the soft stretchy material they are made out of doesn't breath well, so they got warm quickly. She does however have a metal allergy and the rivets on the Fresh Wrist Restrains go all the way through. We fixed this with some white nail polish and that worked very well. Make certain you put your pinky finger in the cuff while you are putting them on your partner as due to the strechy nature of the material, it is very easy to put these on too tight, that can cause loss of circulation to the hands and can be very dangerous. These cuffs are vegan and in my opinion, a very good set for beginners.
For Advanced BDSM'ers:
Do not waste your time with these cuffs. I had my sub on a St. Andrews cross with these and after thirty minutes they had stretched onto her wrists so tight she had lost almost all feeling in her hands. Her and I do consensual non-consent play, which tends to lead to her getting her cuffs put on tightly and it is so easy to put these on too tight. They managed to twist themselves up on the buckle as well, which made them hard to remove when it became obvious they needed to come off, almost to the point I was about to cut them off, which because of the material you can do with medical shears. This should not be something one needs to do with a cuff. That said, they do look nice and are very comfortable to wear, my sub does wear these at play parties before and after play and they do not bother her like a set of heavy leather cuffs would. Her only issue is they tend to get hot, and like a lot of play spaces it tends to be a bit warm where we play publicly, however she doesn't complain about sweating under them which is good. I don't see these cuffs holding up over time simply because of the material used, even if you are using them for light play, or purely decoration. The material can be sanitized on the outside of the cuff but not the inside. All in all, not for advanced players. We bought these to try and make a pair of mitten cuffs, sadly they will not fill that purpose either. Advanced users, avoid these.
