A Tour Guide on this Fantasy Cruise would be Greatly Appreciated!

A great comfortable bondage kit, that looks deceptively simple. We were surprised how much we could do with 4 cuffs, 2 tethers, and a blindfold! The experienced and creative players should have no trouble at all with this kit. For the less experienced, uninspired horny folks (like us), a quick look around the Sportsheets website will reveal that many of their position/restraint products can be roughly replicated with this kit.

The 7-piece Fantasy Kit by Sportsheets is a great bondage kit that comes with a blindfold, four cuffs, and two tethers. Unlike some of the other Sportsheets products which are meant for a specific purpose, such as the G-spot Link, the Fantasy Kit's uses are limited only by the imagination.

Unfortunately, my partner and I are rather practical when it comes to bondage. Before we got this kit, we just tied each other up with twine and had at it. Suddenly, we had soft comfortable cuffs, adjustable tethers, and an actual blindfold instead of a scarf? We just didn't know how to deal with it! Before I go into the details of how we tried to incorporate the kit into our play, let's take a look at each component of the kit.

The BLINDFOLD was soft and leathery, with stretchy straps that fastened behind the head with Velcro. It fit my head well, although I've been told that I have a rather large skull (which is totally different from having a big head). It just barely wrapped around my boyfriend's head, which is significantly larger than mine. There is a lot of Velcro available for adjustment, so those with smaller heads should have no problem getting the blindfold to stay on. The blindfold does a good job of keeping all light out. We did notice that the blindfold exerted an uncomfortable pressure on the eyes at first. After a few uses, the discomfort lessened.

The CUFFS were padded and very comfortable. They also close with Velcro and should fit most wrist and ankle sizes. These cuffs gave both my boyfriend and me very snug fits without cutting off circulation, chafing, or any other type of discomfort. Because of the Velcro closure, these can be taken off in a hurry if an emergency (fire, tornado, or in-laws) occurs. Two cuffs can be Velcro'd together, to form a thigh cuff or collar. Each cuff has a ring with a lobster claw clasp attached to it. This clasp can be used to attach the cuff to another cuff, a tether, or both (or more). We found the lobster claw clasps to be a little hard to work when our hands were covered in lube, but it just took a little extra time to get a good grip.

The TETHERS are quite long enough for most types of positioning/bondage play, and are adjustable as well. The only thing that would stump the tethers would be trying to use them as an under-the-bed restraint system. They are not quite long enough for that! The tethers are easily adjusted by, means of pulling the loose end of the straps away to shorten the length or, pulling on the other end of the strap to lengthen.

The kit provided all the tools needed for anything we could think up that involved cuffs, tethers, and/or a blindfold. The problem was that we couldn't think of much, except putting the cuffs on the "submissive" (we're not sure that we're using this word 100% correct), sliding on the blindfold, and randomly clipping the tethers on to wherever they didn't get in the way; only to throw said tethers aside a few minutes later. That didn't seem right. For a kit with 7 pieces, there should be more possibilities right? Except we were uninspired, horny people. So I turned to my personal kink guru, the Internet.

After some spirited (read: desperate) searching, I had a couple of new ideas. Sportsheets makes plenty of position aids, such as the Doggie Strap and G-Spot Link. From the way they were set up, I could see ways to copy their functionality with the kit.
Experience
Doggie Strap: As I mentioned before, two of the cuffs can be joined to form a larger cuff. I did this, but instead of putting it around something, I simply folded it in half and attached tethers to the two rings at the sides. The tethers were shortened to the desired length, and voila! I had a slightly sloppier but still workable Doggie Strap. The larger cuff folded in half. I used as the padding to wrap under my tummy while my boyfriend pulled on the tethers on either side, like they were reins, while we were in Doggie Style. It stopped me from slowly sliding away from him as usually happens when we engage in that position, and also helped him get the right angle to hit my G-spot. It took a while for us to get it right, but it (kind of) worked!

G-spot Link: We simply attached two cuffs to the ankles and then connected them with a super-shortened tether. It was a bit harder to use as the real G-Spot Link has a handy buckle that can be used to separate and reconnect the cuffs in a snap whereas our makeshift one does not. Luckily, I'm pretty flexible and he's pretty patient. We managed to get by, but we haven't made this position our best friend yet. For those who aren't familiar with the G-spot Link; the ankles are connected and the penetrator can either have the penetrated's ankles wrap behind the penetrator's back, or use the strap between the ankles as a "steering wheel". The strap between can also be used so the penetrated can bend nearly in half. The idea is to make G-spot stimulation easy.

Sex Sling: Easiest to do! Again, connect two cuffs and flatten; this becomes the neck rest/cushion. A tether is attached to either side and the free end of the tether is connected to one of the remaining cuffs, which go on the ankles. Voila! Instant Sex Sling! The Super-Sex Sling variation would be to put your feet through the cuffs instead of wrapping them around your ankles, like stirrups.

Other Positions: The entire Sportsheets website, it turns out, is full of between-the-line suggestions for possible ways to use this kit. You can hogtie with it by connecting tethers from wrist to the opposite ankle behind the back (we haven't tried this yet, but it will be included in the follow-up). Thigh cuffs are also easily made by putting two cuffs together so the submissive's thighs are locked together.

There are so many different ways to use this kit, and we haven't even tried them all yet. Our favorite standby is still just blindfold-cuff-'n'-go, but whenever we find some extra time on hand for extended play, we try to find something new to try with this kit. Although the kit is a bit pricey, most will find it well worth that price for the versatility. A look around the Sportsheets website will show many position aids and restraint systems that can be mimicked with this flexible set. Look forward to more discoveries and developments in the follow-up!
