When you receive your Sex and Mischief silky restraints, you will find them tucked into a box with a semi-nude couple on it. The box is not discreet at all. Be sure to recycle if you are not using the box as storage! If you plan to throw it out, the ties can be rolled up and put away without requiring much space at all. On their own, I appreciated their discreetness, and prying eyes will be none the wiser if they come upon these restraints.
Taking the two silky restraints out of the box, I immediately felt that they weren’t made purely for silk. Of course, however, for 13 dollars, one cannot expect real silk. The product page advertises the ties as silk, but I would make an educated guess and say that they are somewhat of a satin-y polyester blend as well. They are smooth and comfortable on the skin, albeit a cheaper kind of material. They hold wrinkles well, so I roll them up instead of folding them. They are 48 inches in length, and 4 inches wide. I have small wrists, and there is more than enough room to spare with these ties.
The performance of these silky restraints are most ideal for beginners or those who are not into a heavier type of play. Because of the fact that these are a cheaper item, I can imagine them deteriorating with a lot of use. There are no fraying or snagging on mine yet, however I engage in a light play.
These ties will need to be secured in a bow, because I found that it is far too easy to get a knot in the satin like material. They will do their job at keeping your partner from going anywhere whether they are secured to just the wrists, or even to bedposts.
I consider these a multi use product, because they act as a stand in blindfold as well. It is like getting two products in one!
As for cleaning and caring for your silky restraints, I would suggest hand washing and lying to dry. There was no instruction on washing these on their box.
Although they do not feel durable enough for heavy play, beginners and softer bdsm users will appreciate the classy appeal of these ties. If you can get past the fact that they may wrinkle and are not all silk, the price of these are justified! The Sportsheets Sex and Mischief silky restraints are really a fantastic staple item for your collection.

Follow-up commentary
20 days after original review
The Sex and Mischief silky restraints have held up through moderately heavy use. They still have not frayed or snagged or looked any less great as the day they came in! Although they hold wrinkles, this can be easily fixed by being steamed with a clothes steamer, or left in a hot humid bathroom while leaving the shower running. They are great versatile restraints and I still recommend them!
