I'll be the first to admit it, I can't resist anything with vibrant, feminine colors. I'm also a sucker for bondage gear, and terribly loud in bed, so when I saw the Fresh Ball Gag, I knew I had to have it. Then I saw the rest of the Fresh BDSM line, complete with matching ankle and wrist cuffs, collars, and paddles to list a few- and suffice it to say that my wish list grew a LOT. The Fresh Ball Gag is a fashionable, yet very comfortable AND functional vegan-friendly ball gag. It'll certainly give you (or your partner) a mouthful so that you can't make much noise, and make you feel deliciously submissive in the process. While the bubbly colors make it seem harmless, it will satisfy even those who are a bit more experienced in bondage. The ball is somewhat large, so it may not be suited for absolute beginners, and it may be uncomfortable for those with small mouths/jaws. All in all, this is a great purchase for anyone who doesn't want to sacrifice femininity for kink, or vice versa, and it definitely won't break the bank.

This portion of the review will not be accurate to the picture shown on the product page, so I will go into greater detail than normally necessary. The ball gag that I received was a bit different than the one pictured, although it is still made of the same vegan-friendly materials, and has the same "Fresh" color scheme. The rubber ball itself is hot pink, while the soft polyethylene straps are a pale blue with white stitching and metal accents. The straps are soft and plush on the inside, with a smooth, vinyl-like exterior.

The ball measures 1.75 inches in diameter, and is affixed to a thin strap in the center that is approximately 4.5 inches long, with a circular metal stud on either side. The ball can be positioned anywhere on the strap between the metal studs, but is placed firmly enough that it won't move on it's own. The center mouthpiece is attached to a circular metallic ring on either side, connecting it to the main head strap. Both ends of the head strap are secured to the rings with a metal stud. The buckle end of the head strap is approximately 5.5 inches long and has one rectangular metal ring meant to keep the strap in place. The other end has 11 metal-lined holes spaced .5 inches apart, and can be set to accommodate 15.5 inches to 23.5 inches. If you have a small to medium sized head, odds are there will be a great deal of excess strap that is not held in place by the keeper. I haven't done so yet, but I intend to cut mine to size so that this is not an issue, as I like my bondage gear to look as attractive as possible. Also, if you have a very small head, you may want to measure first before buying this, as it may be too big. My head is what I would call average size (for a woman), and I have to keep it set to the second smallest setting.

Although the gag I received wasn't the one pictured, that did nothing to detract from the performance aspect of this ball gag. In fact, based on reviews of the original design, my gag is much more comfortable. The ball is rather large, but has enough give for the user to bite into it without taking out a chunk. It may cause some jaw pain if worn for any extended period of time, but that is to be expected to some extent with a decent size ball gag. I found I was able to breathe comfortably while wearing this gag, but a beginner may feel more comfortable wearing a breathable gag.

While it didn't shut me up completely, it definitely muffled my gasps, moans, and screams to a much more acceptable mumble. If someone is in the next room, there is still a big possibility that they will know what you're up to- so don't expect this gag to completely quiet you (or your partner)! But, it performs beautifully as a staple piece in anyone's bondage collection- and a very cute one at that! The person wearing this will feel both submissive and sexy. It fits a decent range of sizes, although the downfall to that is the excess strap that may not be held in place if you have a somewhat small head. This can easily be fixed by cutting it to size and sewing the end of the strap.

The Fresh Ball Gag is relatively hassle-free to care for. The outside of the straps are smooth and any dirt can be wiped off with a wet cloth. The interior, however, is plush and almost cotton-like, so it attracts dirt much more easily. Thankfully, it is rather easy to clean. I had a small spot of dirt and simply applied a bit of liquid soap directly onto the spot, and dabbed it with a wet washcloth. I would suggest that any dirt on the interior be kept up with, so that it doesn't set in and become difficult to clean. After each use, wash the ball off so that any possible germs in the saliva are not left to linger. I simply store my ball gag in a storage box with other bondage gear, or you can even use the original packaging if you like.

The packaging for the Fresh Ball Gag is definitely not discreet, so tuck it away if you're expecting conservative company. It arrived in a plastic clam-shell container with a vibrantly colored insert. The front displays a picture of a young woman with bold orange hair, neon eyeshadow, and equally vibrant fingernails. The Fresh logo is displayed in a protruding square in front of where the ball gag is kept. The back shows an image of the ball gag- which was different from the one I received- and a few catchphrases. There is a small blurb explaining the use of the product, which states the material as well as the size of the ball.
