30" of let down
Aside from being reasonably priced, unless you are experienced in flogging the length will be too much to handle and swing around.

Pros
Can be used for sensation play. Easy to store when folded.
Cons
Not for beginners. Handle isn't big enough or sturdy enough. Cannot be sterilized.
The thong whip by Spartacus is a full thirty inches of black leather let down. I wish I could just leave my review at that, but I'm sure you want to know why I didn't care for it.
The let downs start from the beginning. The material is of a cheap quality leather, that is quite easy to break if you're not careful. I felt like someone bought the leather strands from the craft store, and put it together quickly at home.
The handle measures 5" long and isn't big enough around to keep a nice grip, or sturdy enough make landing a hit accurate. Due to the length, and lack of a quality handle, I found wrapping (inaccurate blows) to be major problem. Also the D ring on my whip broke through one of the strands of leather, after being tugged on for testing purposes. So either the leather is weak as I said, or I'm just super strong.
Despite the quality of the leather, the thinness of the straps aids in landing a biteful sting with an added bonus of red lines. You will however have to swing pretty hard to get the 30" to catch enough speed, and wind, to leave that bite upon impact. Landing blows like this is tiresome and gets old quickly.
Foreplay or punishment should not mean having to take a break because your arm is numb, because of this I would suggest using the whip for sensation play. Try trailing the ends down a bare back, thighs, across the feet, or even around private parts. If you're ticklish you might have to hold back a giggle or two. I found this type of play to be of better use for the whip.
Storage of the whip was quite easy and simple. You can fold the whip up to the length of the handle and store it in those small spots of your toy box, or even tuck it away in a drawer. Since the leather isn't that sturdy you don't have to worry about it taking on the shape of the fold or kinking. I use a rubber band around mine to keep it folded up when not in use. I've never had a problem with tangling during storage or play.
Since the whip is made of leather it can not be sterilized, and should only be used with one partner if it comes into contact with bodily fluids. If the whip becomes dirty you can use a damp (but not soaked) cloth, and mild soap to clean. I've never had to use any leather conditioner to soften the leather, because I rarely have to clean my whip. The leather conditioner is an option if your whip starts to dry out, or feel too rough.
Overall the thong whip is not the best flogger on the market, or something I would suggest for anyone new to exploring the BDSM world. Price wise the thong whip is pretty reasonable, if you know what you are doing and want something that you can store easily.
If you're new to flogging, but don't want to use something that leaves a soft hit or soft thud on impact, then I suggest that you get a smaller whip under 10" so that you'll be able to land your blows where you intend to without hurting your partner.

Experience
I didn't use the D ring in the handle to clip to anything, since it broke through the leather upon tugging. I did however feed the leather strands through it, so that the handle was doubled in size. It shortened the length of whip, but helped me keep a solid grip since it was now a bit stronger and bigger around. Due to having a sturdier handle I was able to place the blows where I intended them to go. For an added string, and to make the light weight leather a bit heavier, I tied a knot in the end of five of the ten pieces. This added an extra bite.
