I really, really like this toy. The Joystick Prostate massager is meant to be a prostate massager; however, I found that it works just as well as a G-spot massager. So guys, gals, couples or solo-use can incorporate this incredibly versatile toy into play.

Aside from the fact that it is kind of loud, this massager is by far one of the best I've used, on myself or anyone else. It took a little maneuvering to get it to the right spot on me, but my boyfriend had no trouble at all using it on himself. The toy is flexible, it has powerful vibrations, and it's comfortable to use.

Most of the toy is made from food-grade silicone - as such it is nonporous, making the clean up very easy. The only exception is the battery compartment, but that is small and removable.

The texture of this massager is really smooth and velvety. It's extremely flexible, but not limp. It holds a natural curve, but can be manipulated easily. There is some ribbing on the inside of the curve just above the battery compartment. Ideally, this ribbing rubs against the perineum when the toy is used as a prostate massager, fitting between the testicles and the anus to stimulate that sensitive expanse of skin. On me, when held just right, it stimulated my clitoris.

The Prostata has virtually no taste (unless you choose to use a flavored lube!), and only a very light odor. You can really only smell it if it's within an inch or two of your nose; it has a very light sort of latex/medicinal kind of smell. The odor does not permeate your fingers though, so holding it for a long period of time won't make your fingers stink.

I think this toy's design, shape and material make it easy to use for anyone, from the beginner just looking to get into prostate massage, to the veteran of anal toys looking for a versatile massager.

This toy is U-shaped, and about seven inches long from the tip to the end of the silicone on the other end. It's closer to eight inches when you include the little bit of the battery compartment that sticks out of the end. At its thickest part, the massager is about an inch and a half in diameter, and at its smallest it's less than one inch.

The battery compartment is small and removable, making clean up really easy. The battery compartment holds one AAA battery. I found that you have to screw on the cap of the battery compartment tightly, however, because if you don't the battery only vibrates erratically. Be careful when you unscrew the cap for the first time, also. The first time I unscrewed the cap and removed it, the little rubber ring that keeps the compartment water-tight fell off and I had a heck of a time finding it again.

The best part of this massager's design is that it is compact and flexible. It bends nicely! It would travel well if the battery compartment were removed and the whole thing placed in the storage pouch provided with it. Inside the pouch, the dimensions are about 5 inches by 5 inches by 2 inches thick - discreet enough to travel with for sure!

The versatility in use of this toy is great. From a prostate massager for him to a G-spot massager for her, this toy can do a lot more than you would think at first glance.

The material itself is nice and smooth, so it's comfortable. Also, it's very flexible. You can bend it, twist it, even bend it back on itself. It always goes back into its natural curve, but the fact that you can manipulate it is really good news. It means that insertion, particularly for use with prostate massage, is easier and more comfortable than it would be with a more resistant material. I found that because it was more easily manipulated, however, that it took a little more time to get it in the right spot for me. Once it was there, though, it was easy to keep my momentum going.

The "multiple settings" on this massager are really only two settings: powerful, and more powerful. For only using one battery, this toy packed a hell of a punch. The vibrations are incredibly powerful and as a result it's not very discreet. It's not the loudest toy I've ever used, but it's definitely not a toy to use when your parents are sleeping one thin wall away from you, either. Despite its power, I did find that the battery lasts quite a while.

Because the Prostata is made of silicone and is nonporous, you won't need to put a condom on it to use it unless you choose to. Cleaning it is simple. Hot water and soap will do the trick, or a compatible toy cleaner will work. I prefer soap and water because it's cheaper.

The storage pouch provided is a cute way to store the massager, but you will want to give it a rinse before use if you choose to store it this way. The inside of the pouch seems to attract fuzz, so de-linting your toy before use is a good idea! Although, in my opinion, storing this massager in a toy box or case would be just as effective. This guy should last you a good long time with proper care.

Any water-based lube is compatible with the Prostate massager, but because it is made of silicone you will want to avoid using silicone-based lubes with it. If you use silicone lubes on a silicone toy, the silicone of the toy will start breaking down. We don't want this, so stick to water-based lubes with this toy and you'll be fine.

The packaging was kind of simple. The toy came in a plastic shell inside of a (very shiny!) cardboard display box with an open face. The massager comes with a nifty little cloth storage pouch, a one-time dose of Aqua Glide lube, and a lot of advertisement material for other Joystick and Joydivision brand toys and lubes.

I do believe that the plastic part of the packaging is recyclable if your community's facilities can process different grades of plastic. Also, the cardboard (despite the fact that it is shiny) should also be recyclable. You could also recycle the advertisement booklets from Joydivision, but I kept mine for future reference!

While the packaging might be simple and a little cheap, the toy pouch is made of slightly sturdier stuff. However, I had a dickens of a time trying to get the massager in the pouch with the battery compartment still in the end of the toy. In order to make the toy fit well inside of the storage bag, you have to remove the battery compartment and stuff it in the middle. Otherwise the thing is just too long to fit nicely (hey, isn't that what she said?).

My boyfriend is one of those nervous types when it comes to toys for him (as in, "Not in my ass!"), but even he had a ball with this massager. He really seemed to get into it after the initial apprehension of putting something in his rectum receded. The powerful vibrations, coupled with the ribbing that rubbed his perineum (that area of skin between the testicles and the anus) just the right way, really helped to make him feel good and overpower his fear of using anal toys on himself.

For me, this toy was pretty effective as a G-spot massager. It's really bendy, which hindered rather than helped me at first, but after I got the swing of it, it was amazing. Again, the powerful vibrations coupled with the ribbing that hit my clitoris just right made this toy one of my new favorites!
