The Radiant Gems Anal Toy is a great add on to your collection of anal toys. After trying some of the smaller plugs and before you're ready to move to something larger, this gives you the chance to try gradually increasing the diameter bead by bead. It's as if a plug and a set of beads got together, and this is their love child.

The first bead can be a little tough to get started because this toy is so floppy, but once you get the toy started, it gets much easier to insert. It is easier if a partner uses this toy on you, rather than you trying to get it started yourself. That doesn't mean you can't use this toy solo, but it seems to be easier to get started if someone else is using it. The bumps increase in diameter, the largest being 1 inch. Between each bump is a narrow neck, each of those increases slightly in diameter as well. It has a great deal of squish to it, so it is very gentle. You can choose to insert it as far as you like, trying a bit more each time if you prefer, or going all out the first time. I will say that because this toy is so squishy and forgiving, you lose a little bit of that "pop" sensation that you get with anal beads. You can certainly feel the increase with each bump, but the sensation isn't the same as it is with beads. If you use this toy for gentle thrusting, the resulting sensation is very nice.



The coloring of the toy is very pretty, with a swirly appearance. The surface is very smooth, with very little drag. This toy does have a flared base, so it is very safe for anal play. It will not get sucked up anywhere you don't want it to go.



The Radiant Gems anal tool is made of PVC, so it is a porous toy. If you intend to share this toy, please cover it with a condom. Being porous, it is impossible to sterilize this toy. It can't be boiled or thrown in the dishwasher, so I worry about it holding on to germs. You can use water or silicone-based lubes with this toy, but avoid oil or petroleum lubes. This toy does have that distinctive smell that all PVC toys have, and it does retain that odor even after being washed and aired out.

I've moved away from using toys made of this material. The toy has held up well, and shows no signs of wear, but it isn't getting used.
