My girlfriend loves the feeling of smooth, cool, hard stainless steel for anal play. The njoy Pure Plug Medium is one of her favorite toys. We wanted a more versatile stainless steel toy that would provide a variety of sensations and could be used for thrusting. After extensive research, we decided to get another njoy toy – the Fun Wand. From pages of rave reviews describing its effectiveness as a vaginal and anal toy, to first-hand experience of njoy’s quality construction and durability, we knew we had to try it for ourselves.

There are two primary uses for the Fun Wand: sensation and temperature play. The Fun Wand excels on both fronts. The four differently sized bulbs, contours, incredibly smooth texture, and the narrow, curved body all provide various sensations. When creatively moving or thrusting the toy, those sensations are amplified. For temperature play, you can use the toy as-is from room temperature storage, which is quite a bit cooler than body temperature. For extra coldness, rinse under cold water for 10 seconds, or if you’re really brave, dunk into a bucket of ice water briefly. If you prefer warm sensations, submerge it in warm water for about 20 seconds. You can use a thermometer to monitor the temperature for even more precise play. The toy assimilates water temperatures very quickly, which is convenient when you’re in the moment.

The two ends of the toy make for great handles when inserting the opposite end. There’s no real flared base, but the curvature of the toy generally limits the thrusting. You don’t have to worry about losing the toy inside a bodily orifice because of its handling, curvature, and length (unless you like to insert almost the entire toy).

This toy is suitable for anyone – users of all experience levels will find at least something to njoy (pun intended!). Here are some suggestions for safe and pleasurable fun times with the Fun Wand:
1. Before use, make sure you are warmed up, comfortable, and hopefully slightly aroused.
2. Start off with a clean Fun Wand. Feel free to incorporate elements of temperature play, preferably before applying lube.
3. Apply lube onto fingers. Lube the exterior, then slowly insert fingers gently inside your bodily orifice. It’s most pleasurable if those fingers have clipped, smooth nails. This should be a comfortable and arousing experience; it will lube up the interior surfaces and increase blood flow to that area.
4. Apply lube onto the Fun Wand, over all areas intended for insertion. Breathe deeply, relax, and slowly insert the toy inside. Proceed at your own pace, and let your senses guide you.
5. You can leave the toy inside, withdraw/reinsert it, use it for thrusting, angle it in different ways, a combination of all of the above, and add your own creative methods!

Precautions for use:
1. Even though the Fun Wand is compatible with any lube on the market (water, silicone, oil), avoid oil lubes for vaginal canals because it is harmful to the vaginal ecology.
2. Always start slowly, and make sure it’s a pleasurable experience for all parties. If there’s any pain or discomfort at any point, discontinue use.
3. Stainless steel transmits temperature extremely well – whatever feels very hot or very cold to your hands is probably way too hot or cold to your erogenous zones. Always test temperatures on not-so-sensitive areas of the body before insertion.
4. Make sure to disinfect the toy when going from anal to vaginal use, or anal to any other body part.
5. Disinfect the toy before sharing, each time. If your partner is fluid-bonded, still follow precaution #4.

When I first opened the box containing the Fun Wand, I was thrilled by the very smooth and reflective surface of the toy. The toy seemed a bit smaller than I expected, even though I looked through sizing charts and actual size photographs online. The steel is weighty, dense, and rigid. The coldness of the toy was not surprising, but it still reminded me of how different it is from my body temperature.
There are no seams or sharp edges to the toy. It is truly pleasurable to feel and slide against parts of my body. There are only curves, some more gradual than others. The most sudden angles come from the bases of the three bulbs. The three bulbs make for great anal beads. The smoothness of the stainless steel is very stimulating and easy to thrust with. The single bulb end and slender shaft glides effortlessly – it’s fun to receive, and fun to give!

Njoy’s mission statement explains: “All njoy toys are crafted in premium medical grade stainless steel for purity, beauty, and infinite durability. Employing precision design, superior new-world craftsmanship, and a healthy dose of naughty creativity...” The Fun Wand is completely non-porous, phthalates free, hypoallergenic, and is safe to use for the vast majority of people (unless you have an allergic reaction to stainless steel).

The design of the Fun Wand is conceptually sound. The toy consists of two ends, one with three bulbs and the other with a single bulb. The angles of curvature on both ends are designed to target the G-spot and P-spot. You could visually divide the toy in half and see that the two ends are angled in opposite directions. This makes it easy to handle and maneuver. A njoy logo is etched into the middle of the toy.

The end with three bulbs is designed to function like anal beads, but of the stainless steel variety. Each bulb starts with a tapered end, widening to an apex, then slopes inwards. The main body of the Fun Wand extends from the base of the first bulb to the base of the single bulb on the opposite end. This curved body also gradually increases in diameter; it is widest right when it opens into the single bulb.

The single bulb is shaped like njoy’s Pure Plugs. It is the same size as the Pure Plug Small, with 1” circumference at the widest point. Looks can be deceiving, because the innermost of the three bulbs is also 1” circumference at its widest point. It is shaped differently, and yields a different sensation. The larger end is also heavier and thicker than the smaller end, and this effects the way the toy feels inside the body.

My girlfriend is very picky about her toys, and she’s satisfied with the design of the Fun Wand. There are two areas for improvement though, but they are mostly personal preferences. The first is that she prefers the two ends to be a bit less angled, because it’s more comfortable to her anatomy. The second is that the bulbs are a bit smaller than she would have liked. She prefers something a bit more filling; however, when I start thrusting the toy inside her, she no longer remembers her complaint :)

The Fun Wand is very discreet. It could easily be mistaken for a decorative sculpture. If I saw it before I knew what Njoy’s product line looked like, I probably wouldn’t know what it is. If I never saw stainless steel sex toys before, I certainly wouldn’t have guessed it was used for that purpose. The Fun Wand’s size makes it portable, though I’ve never taken it on the road or to the airport, so I wouldn’t know if it passes TSA security checks.

The Fun Wand performs beautifully. It delivers on all the areas for which it was designed. We’re impressed by the quality of the stainless steel; it looks very well-constructed. When we bought it we were worried about the steel connecting the three bulbs because it looked thin and fragile from the pictures. However, after using the toy multiple times, this is simply not true. The connecting steel is very sturdy and cannot be bent unless excess force (or hardware, like hammers) are used.

The two different ends provide very different sensations. The larger end is great for thrusting because of the smooth, curved body. It glides back and forth effortlessly. The smaller end is more intense for anal play. I love seeing and feeling the three bulbs in action; it’s very arousing for the anus to expand to accommodate the bulbs then clench down onto the thinner body. My girlfriend describes it as different than silicone and glass anal beads, but very intense and stimulating. The surface overall is very smooth and the feeling is incredible.

Like all njoy toys, the Fun Wand is superb for temperature play. Just a few seconds submerged in the desired temperature of water is all it takes for the toy to assimilate to that temperature. Temperature play yields another dimension to the sensation of the toy.

Stainless steel is compatible with all types of lubes. Additionally, it is non-porous and does not harbor bacteria. If you’re not sharing the toy or going from anal to vaginal (or any other orifice), it’s safe to just disinfect it. However, you cannot completely sterilize even non-porous objects without an autoclave. For sufficient cleaning to disinfect the toy, you can 1) wipe it with 10% bleach solution, wait a few minutes, then rinse off; 2) wash with antibacterial soap and water; 3) completely submerge in boiling water and boil for 3 minutes; 4) place it on the top rack of your dishwasher (or away from any other metal objects) and activate a complete cycle. When cleaning, make sure to not scrub the surface with abrasives, so you don’t scratch the toy.

We generally keep the Fun Wand inside its original box for storage. However, the box is bigger than necessary. If you’re hard-pressed for space you can just use a fabric pouch or bag. It won’t interact with other materials and degrade, and doesn’t attract lint/dust/particulates, so it’s very easy to store and keep clean.

The fun wand comes in a beautiful, sturdy black box, which could easily be mistaken for a jewelry box. It’s etched with silver letters “njoy Pure/Fun” on the lower left corner. Black velvet lines the inside of the box. The toy itself is nestled in a foam mold covered by pink colored satin. Inside the lid of the box there are two ribbons attached to corners. One of them holds the booklet that introduces you to the company and its line of toys. The box is great for gift-giving because it feels luxurious. There is also a white cardboard slipcase outside the black box. The company logo with pure/fun is printed on it, along with a sticker that tells you it’s a Fun Wand. There’s a logo “China” on the back from which you can infer that it’s Made in China.
