I logged on to see my new assignment, somewhat fearful of another giant black dildo or vibrating lip-shaped cock ring. Oh, a German-made silicone prostate stimulator. I had long been in the state of almost-buying-one, so I eagerly accepted. I immediately saw a slight problem though. All right, let's imagine... you're lying there in bed with your partner, she has you so turned on you can barely stand it. She touches your ass and whispers in your ear, "Should I get the Prostata Booster?"
You'd never imagine the name of a toy alone could kill the entire mood. Prostata Booster? It sounds like something I'd see in a spam email promising to improve my sex life with a new wonder pill at 80% off. Prostata is simply German for Prostate, which leads to far too many results when trying to search for information about the toy. I think the company would have been much better off with a more unique name for ease of online searching and identification, and even simply to make the toy sound less serious. I'm a major fan of Fun Factory, so I was excited to see something from JoyDivision/JoyStick, another German toy company. A quick visit to their website though shows that quite a few of their toys appear to be spin-offs of the Fun Factory style toys. Likewise, this new prostate stimulator appeared to be a spin-off of the Rude Boy or Naughty Boy by Rocks Off Limited. I was hence a bit skeptical.
The Booster is very clearly designed to be a male prostate stimulator. The upper curved end slides in anally, while the lower ridged portion rests against the perineum and base of the balls. The upper inserted end tapers down to a thinner diameter towards the bottom, allowing the sphincter to rest comfortably around it and prevent the toy from sliding out. Once inserted, the upper end rests against the prostate inside the lucky recipient ass. The ribbed section then rests against the perineum and back of the balls. This is a definite plus, as neglecting the balls leads to jealousy amongst body parts in such close proximity, and is a sure-fire way to spoil a party. The Booster successfully caresses everything at once.
A vibrator is located in the base. It may be removable, but it doesn't easily slide out and I wasn't about to force it. In the pictures it looks like the typical bullets that come inserted in toys such as the silicone dildos from brands such as Vixen and Tantus, but in actuality it's longer and uses a AAA battery instead of button cells. The vibrator also has three intensities, which are cycled through as you push the button. An O-ring seals the battery compartment, rendering the whole toy waterproof.
Once inserted, the Booster serves as a great additional stimulation when masturbating and allows you to sit down while it's inserted. Sitting also allows you to push down or rock against the base, which not only changes the focus of the vibrations, but also moves the position of the inserted end inside you. I see no reason why it couldn't be used during sex, though I haven't had the opportunity to try that.
I agree that the name is kinda weird, but just love that the vibes are adjustable.
Great review!
