The Silicone Slims Self Satisfyer is a vibrating anal plug that can be used by both the ladies and guys. If used by women, it can also stimulate the clitoral area while inserted vaginally. I found this toy worked best while having intercourse, but also does the trick while masturbating.

The insertable portion of this toy is made out of TPR Silicone, and the remote control is made from plastic. There is a wire connecting the bullet inside the toy and the controller. The toy has a slight odor, but it is not unpleasant. The toy has ribbing on it, which helps to keep it from sliding out (I don't know if it is supposed to improve sensation, as I couldn't tell once it was inserted). There is also a nubby portion of the toy which protrudes from the base and sits against the perineum or clitoris (for women when inserted vaginally and oriented upwards) when it is inserted for added pleasure. I would say this is a good beginner’s toy because its girth makes for easy insertion, and it is not long enough to intimidate, but I don't see why advanced users would not get enjoyment from it.

Aside from the very noticeably pink color, I like the design. This is my second anal vibe, the first being the Mini Vibra Tease, which really did not do the trick. Check out my wife's review of that toy to see what I mean. I think the shape is great for its intended use; it inserts very easily, and stays in extremely well. It provides enough vibration to stimulate my P-spot even when my position does not bring it close enough for close contact. The size is perfect for any beginner interested in trying an anal vibe as it is quite small, and has a small girth. This toy is not very discreet, as it looks obvious what it is for, additionally it is quite compact though, making it suitable for travel. I recommend removing the batteries when traveling so you do not wind up with vibrating luggage accidentally!

I think this toy performs well for its intended purpose. I was not a huge fan of the intensity control though because it does not increase gradually, but rather jumps between the lowest intensity and the highest in only a few steps even though the control knob indicates that it should. It does have really good vibrations though, and I prefer to just put it on high and leave it at that, so I can live with the shoddy control knob. The bullet inside the toy makes the most intense vibrations felt at the end and around the entire insertable portion of the toy, and the "flap" the protrudes out from the base of the toy also gets pretty good vibrations from the bullet. The remote control is pretty easy to use, you just turn the knob, and since it is attached to the toy by a wire you are limited by how far away from the toy you can have the control. I didn't find this a problem though, but a much taller individual may find this troublesome. The toy can get a little noisy when not inserted, but if used under bedding for outer stimulation, the noise is not apparent. Once inserted though, I can't hear it at all which is a huge bonus. I've operated this toy for a total of about 2 hours and the batteries have not begun to lose juice yet. I'd say it is conservative on power since I'm using medium grade batteries. I'll be able to say more about that in my follow-up review.

This toy is pretty easy to care for by using mild soap and water, or anti-bacterial toy cleaner. You may need to use a soft toothbrush to ensure there is no build-up where the rings are around the toy, or between the nubs on the protruding portion at the base. Since there is a wire coming out of the base of the toy, it is not waterproof, so it cannot be submerged. I have not had any difficulty washing the toy while keeping the wire entry hole from getting wet. Since the toy is made of TPR silicone, it is recommended to keep it from contacting other silicone-based toys. I use a zip lock bag for mine, but it could also be kept in a satin bag with drawstrings to prevent contact with other toys and keep dust and debris from sticking to it. Since the Self Satisfier is TPR, never use oil or silicone-based lubes with it, only water-based.

The toy comes in an easily opened plastic package that is not recyclable, although the cardboard insert is. The packaging, which shows a mostly naked couple on it with the man burying his face in his partner’s breasts, is definitely not discreet. The packaging contains the toy in a bubble of plastic showing off the toy, lending to its indiscretion. The packaging can be used for storage, but I don't recommend it as its volume might take up too much space in your toy drawer/chest. It is certainly not suitable to use as a gift package. There is a small 4-step instruction insert included with the toy, which depicts how to insert the batteries. Other than that, the function and use of the toy is pretty obvious, so I don't think any in-depth instructions are even necessary.

When I first came across this toy I was looking for something that wasn't too intimidating, and would provide excellent anal stimulation but not fall out like the first butt plug I had purchased. I liked the fact that the controls were easily accessible and I could control the intensity as much as I wanted. I wasn't a big fan of the fact that I couldn't smoothly increase the intensity, but for the price I can't really complain. The pink color is definitely not my favorite, but that's ok… after all, how can anyone be intimidated by a pink toy? The Self Satisfier inserted very easily into my anus with a little bit of lubrication (always recommended when using toys anally). I did find that removing the toy was a little more difficult because my body had absorbed most of the lube by the end of my sessions (I was using a thinner water-based lube). For this reason, I recommend using a thicker lube, or a water-based anal lube for best results when removing the toy afterwards.

The first time I tried this toy I used it for intercourse, which I highly recommend. I've used it while masturbating a few times and have found it to be a little distracting and actually hindered my progress towards orgasm… however once I reached orgasm it was extremely intense and definitely worth the work to get there. Additionally during intercourse, my wife and I used the We Vibe II, and I have to say that the combination of the two vibes was really fantastic, and I look forward to using that combination again.

I really liked the intensity of the vibrations from this toy, it's surprisingly powerful for such a small toy, and as mentioned earlier in this review I was getting some good p-spot stimulation even when my position was not giving me direct contact with the inserted toy. I also liked the added stimulation for my perineum from the nubby part of the toy.
