The Pure Wand's straight laced cousin?
This toy has so much potential for greatness, but is cut short by a few major design flaws. The metal and silicone logo patch on the shaft is irritating when the toy is used for deep thrusting, and means the toy cannot be used as a double-ended dildo. The shaft could be a bit longer for comfortable thrusting. While the girthy head feels great on my g spot, it also uncomfortably presses against the back wall of my vagina.

Pros
Impressively girthy head, elegant design, lightweight yet intense aluminum
Cons
Logo label is irritating, could be longer, too girthy for some
I am a fan of stainless steel toys (especially Njoy's Pure Wand, so I was very excited to try an aluminum toy for the first time. Aluminum has the same firmness and “heavy” feeling as steel, but is a bit lighter and easier on the wallet. I was intrigued by the Dai-Do #1 because I love any toy with a bulbous head for G spotting, and this toy offers an extra-girthy 1 7/8"” diameter head that I couldn’t wait to try! Unfortunately this toy does have a few design flaws that could be improved upon.
The Dai-dos are a line of aluminum toys from Big Teaze Toys, the same company that makes I Rub My Duckie. The Dai-Do #1 is available in red and black finish, I chose the latter. Because this toy is coated, you don’t have to worry about stains or tarnishing, and it's very easy to clean with soap and water, or 10% bleach solution. It’s safe to use with just about any kind of lube. I would recommend this toy for vaginal use only, as the shaft end isn’t really comfortable for penetration, and it wouldn’t be safe to insert the ball end anally without a flared base. The toy comes in a cardboard box with a black satin pouch for storage.
The thick ball does feel really great when it is inserted and popped in and out, though it's liable to be too girthy for some folks. The shaft itself is only about an inch in diameter, so there's a noticeable contrast in sensation between the shaft and the head. It does a pretty good job of hitting the G spot, though the straight shaft means it doesn’t really compare to toys like the pure wand in terms of pinpoint stimulation. It offers an amazing feeling of fullness, but I that found that it put a lot of pressure on the back wall of my vagina when I thrusted, which was a bit uncomfortable. My main complaints about this toy are as follows:
1. It could be longer. It's about 7.5" long, but only 4.5" are insertable because of the placement of the steel and silicone logo patch. I have a deep vagina, and could use more insertable length, and an inch or two more handle to grab as I thrust.
2. This toy would probably feel better and be easier to use if it had a little bit of a curve, instead of being pin straight.
3. The steel and silicone Big Teaze Toys label, takes up a good 1.5" of real estate on the shaft after the 4.5" of insertable length. This label is pronounced and feels scratchy when it rubs against my vaginal entrance when I thrust deeply. It also means that you can’t use it as a double ended dildo, unless you cover the shaft with a condom. I prefer toys that are versatile, and I would like to be able to use the straight shaft for penetration as well as the ball end.
It’s unfortunate that these design aspects are so irritating, because otherwise it is a fantastic toy. Realistically, it's a 3.5 star toy for me, but I will round down because of these issues. I will probably continue to use it for the sensations the thick head produces, but this one will never outstrip the Pure Wand in my toy box. Nevertheless, I am still curious to try some of the other Dai-Dos to see if I like them better.

Follow-up commentary
1 day after original review
I've been using this one a lot to warm myself up at the beginning of a session. But I generally switch to something else after, since I can't get the deep thrusting I need to climax. So I do use it, but I just wish it were more functional for me.
