I typically do extended form reviews - but there's not too much to say about a small non-vibrating butt plug - but here's our take on the Pleasure Plug 2 (PP2).

First I give Happy Valley high marks for the quality of this toy. We have several silicone toys - but this is our first from Happy Valley. Like all high-quality silicone it lacks a detectable odor. Silicone these days comes in many formulations from hard to soft to shiny or dull. The PP2 has a nice matte finish and is medium hard. Both of these features are important the design. The matted finish has a slight drag - which helps to keep it from being ejected too easily. The fact that it's firm - not hard makes it comfortable once inside and the fact that it's firm not soft helps you push it past a sometimes balky sphincter.

As we all know by now lube is required for all anal play - and silicone lube is a no-no with silicone toys. So when you get a PP2 - be sure to use a good water-based lube. We prefer a vegetable-butter based formula and it works just fine.

A common thread for a toy like this is anal beginners are attracted to it's 1.25" maximum diameter - and that describes our reason for buying it as well. Personally this toy is too small for me, I'm up to 1.5" and working on 1.75". My wife on the other hand is just starting her anal exploration. We currently have a few 3/4" vibes which she likes - so the PP2 is intended to be the next step.

The taper of the PP2 is key to helping one adapt slowly to the 1.25" crest - even so, it's large enough that care is required for a beginner like my wife. Once inside the taper down to 7/8" provides a sense of relief and comfort. The 2.25" x 1.25" base holds nicely and is comfortable - even for long term wear.

To test the idea of tightening during intercourse - I did feel the base a little upon entry, but was able to turne it aside and continued without issue. As advertised the PP2 reduced the volume of her vagina making for a tighter experience for me. What about her? Here again there is good news. The added feeling of pressure on her anus and more friction from me inside - did indeed result in a very strong orgasm. The only disappointment was that the strength of the orgasm caused the PP2 to pop out - reducing the sensations at just the wrong time.

We continue to use the PP2 because our next size plug is a vibrating one that is 1.5". The additional 1/4" in diameter doesn't seem like a lot, but it represents about 7/8" in circumference and it is enough to make the transition significant. My only regret is that the PP2 does not have a vibe - it's just a little too small for a AAA based battery powered vibe. I have a bullet that I'm considering for a DIY project - but that's a story for another day.

As with all silicone toys - clean up is a snap. Simply wash in warm soapy water - and disinfect with an alcohol wipe. If you plan to share the toy - a condom is recommended, but finding one small enough may be a little bit of a problem.

The PP2 is a great toy - but we don't use it much because we are now more comfortable with larger toys. But we still highly recommend it for anal beginners.
