This butt plug is great. I bought it for one specific reason: it is designed to stay in your butt. Well, it does that quite well. My intention (which I am pleased to report was successful) was to get a plug that I could slide in on my own, to get my ass ready, and then leave in there. It's for those nights when I want my partner to fuck me in the ass, and well, it works great. I can take the time that I need to lube up and relax my butt all by myself, and then slide this baby in after some fingering (I find that once I can take 3 fingers, I can just put light pressure and with a little waiting my butt will 'eat' the plug- 4 fingers and she slips in like a charm). I can then wear her over to my partner's place and pop her out when we're getting to the action.

Tristan is really good for staying in your ass, and is nice and comfy while she's in there for relatively extended periods. If you're going to wear her for a long time where you aren't doing sex things (like around and about), sitting will help keep you comfy. I did find that my butt got kind of tired after extended casual wear (like wearing over to my partners' house and just bumming around for too long). Mostly, I found I could tell that I had a plug up my ass more if I was standing up, until it had been about an hour or so, so if you're trying to not think about buttsex for a spell while you have this plug in there (like you're wearing it out on a date so you can be all set to get your ass-ravaged when you get home... or to the car) it may be a good idea to plan an evening as a sitting endeavor, not a standing and walking around, so a movie rather than a romantic walk. That is, unless you are able to be an engaged and interested partner while you can feel a fantastic buttplug wiggling around inside you, or your butt doesn't get tired of pressure like mine does.

This plug also is good for thrusting; the base is easy to get a hold on and the shape makes thrusting feel oh-so-good.

This plug is made of 100% silicone, so you cannot use silicone-based lube. Latex and polyurethane condoms (male or female condoms!) are a-ok, and you can use water based lube with it, and both of those condoms for safe play with a partner. Because silicone is a safe material to use in your body, if you are playing with this toy solo and not using a membrane you can use oil based lubes as well (like Crisco... nice and cheap, and it works great).

Tristan is easy to clean... you can boil it for three minutes, use warm water and anti-bacterial soap to wash it, or run it through on the top-rack of the dishwasher with no soap.

It's a slick silicone with no smell at all, and it is bendable but nice and firm, which means it keeps it's shape well but is soft going in and out, and easy and safe on your bottom. Plus, it comes with a lifetime warranty, just save the receipt!

I am a huge fan of the design of this toy. The tip is just big enough, and cuts away from the shaft sharply enough, that it stays in with no problem at all. I found that standing up and laying down for extended periods with this plug in (that were NOT play) it sort of pushed on my sphincter a little and my butt got tired. It's not a problem if you're playing, but you should be aware of it if you like to stick plugs in to keep you open and ready for anal at a later time.

The base of this toy is, perhaps, the best part. It is cut away just right to sit in between your buttcheeks, and is soft enough to bend to follow the natural curvature of your body. I found that for longer term wear I could just slide into a regular old pair of panties and they were enough to keep the base in place nice and neat. It's way comfortable down there too, if you don't think about it, you could almost forget you've got an inch and a half plug up your ass (except for the nice full feeling you get from the size!)!

The shape of the tip also makes insertion really easy if you're lubed up right, and able to be nice and relaxed, and the way that it cuts away makes for great pops of sensation thrusting it in and out.

I also dig the purple color. It's really pretty, and has a bit of a swirly looking texture to it.

The one thing about this plug that I found interesting is that it came with a little card that said how to angle it to get p-spot or g-spot stimulation. I found that this plug was not long enough to reach my p-spot (I know right where it is...). That doesn't mean you'll have the same experience, but for p-spot stimulation, unless you know yours is pretty shallow, I would recommend something a bit longer.

My decision to buy this toy was in large part motivated by the size. My partner has a Feeldoe Slim, but I find it is tough for me to relax quickly with her playing. I got this plug so I could play and get by butt relaxed, put it in to keep me relaxed, and then let her take it out a little later and fuck me. The tip of this plug is 1.5 inches in diameter, so if this can go in and out nice and easy, then I can take the Feeldoe no problem.

This toy is all around great. It is one of the best plugs I have ever played with, and I am so glad that I bought it! It is easy to get in, stays in, the base is comfy, is easy to grab for thrusting, is just big enough to give me that great filled-up feeling, and it is bendy and squishy and comfortable all around! I didn't really have any complaints about the performance at all. I did find that after really extended wear while standing and walking around my butt gets kind of tired, but that's to be expected after leaving a plug in for over an hour of just hanging out. Sitting around with good posture for a comparable amount of time led to no such discomfort, especially in a firm seat that helps hold it in.

This toy is 100% silicone. You can boil it for up to three minutes, dishwasher it in the top rack, wash it with warm water and mild anti-bacterial soap, or use a silicone-safe toy cleaner. No silicone lube, but water based lube is fine. As are polyurethane and latex condoms. If you're playing with this toy by yourself, you can also use oil based lubes, but remember, oil based lubricants are NOT safe with latex condoms, so if you are playing with a partner, you need to go water-based to be safe.

You should wash this toy after use, and rinse it right before use, as it is that slightly sticky silicone texture that tend to collect dust.

Tristan comes in a clear, plastic canister that has care and maintenance instructions printed on the side. It is a nice classy package from Vixen Creations. All that is in the cylinder are the plug and a little card from Tristan Taormino (who designed this plug and whose name it bears). The ends of the canister just slide off, but it is kind of hard to open the first time because the ends fit on so tight, and it makes a pretty air-tight seal. You can (and it recommends on the packaging that you do) store this plug right in the package, as the cylinder is the right size for the plug to sit upright, and it will keep it clean, dust-free, and from rubbing up against any other silicone toys in your toybox.

The package is not, however, discreet in any way. As I said, it is a clear cylinder, so you can see the toy in the package. As always, though, in shipping from Eden Fantasies it came in a discreet cardboard box.

Like I said, this is one of my favorite plugs I have ever tried, and I think it was a great buy. The weight and thickness and shape make it nice and easy to slide in, and stay in, but it also works really well for thrusting. I expect I'll be using this toy a lot, both on my own and with my partner.

The staying-in ability of this toy also makes it great for a plug and play. I should note here that I am a trans woman, so other trans women reading this can know; I also will share, because of the immediate relevancy, that I have not had bottom surgery.
I found that having this plug in provides a full and penetrated feeling while my bits get attention. Sometimes, I get pretty unexcited about my genitals, but since since the Tristan can get slid in and will stay in with minimal or no attention paid, it is a great help in keeping me feeling filled up and pushing me into head-space where it is okay to touch, or be touched, down in my front parts.

I liked this toy enough that it was tough to think of critical things to say in this review. But, I hope I did a good job. This plug is pretty big, so it may not be for beginners, and I found that it doesn't reach my p-spot because it is too short. I do like enough that I anticipating purchasing the Tristan 2 at some point, for those days when I really want to be filled up!
