The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The A vibe represents one of those "Good idea, bad execution" type of toys. The silicone is certainly welcome as well as the shape, the vibe placement and touchy on/off button are design flaws that make you wonder what the designers were thinking. Overall this will be a nice toy for beginners or those that like a vibe to just sit there with no manipulation, but then the first bulb may not reach most P-spots.

The Ophoria A-Vibe from Lover's Choice Inc. is sold as an anal vibe but certainly could be used vaginally too. It has a slight curve with a bulbous head to reach the prostate or G-spot, although it may not reach all G-spots due to different anatomies. A single speed bullet vibe mounted in the base provides extra stimulation while a loop with little nubs inside provides a sure grip.

This toy as me at odds with myself, while overall I like the toy I find that there are too many design flaws that have me wondering as to what Lover's Choice was thinking. We'll start with the good and go down from there.

The Good: The A-Vibe comes in purple, blue or black matte finished Silicone. Slight drag can be felt against the skin but this helps the water or oil based lube (Spot test for silicone lube use first) stick to it during use. Silicone is at the top of the list of soft materials due to its non-porous nature, Latex/Phthalates free, hypo-allergenic properties and being a food grade material. Lover's Choice used a firm silicone for this toy which provides easy insertion and good stimulation. The area between the bulges does have some flex though; this may be a good or bad thing depending on how much pressure you want on your pleasure spot.

Size of the toy is as follows:

As you can see it is fairly small so beginners may consider this as a first anal toy.

You can see the loop handle at the base of the toy and the nubs inside. I would say the loop will be big enough for most fingers to fit in. This loop, since it is thin, will stretch some as well. The nubs inside help a bunch when lube gets on your fingers to provide a non-slip surface.

Cleaning is as easy as warm water and antibacterial/mild soap or any toy cleaner. If the need arises to sterilize your toy you can boil, bleach or toss it in an autoclave. The bullet is not waterproof or even splash proof so remove it before cleaning. If cleaning the bullet is needed, use a soft rag/towel with some Isopropyl Alcohol.

Packaging is pretty nice although not really discreet.

Inside you will find the toy and bullet nestled in firm black foam that has cutouts to hold them. Lover's Choice also includes a care and instruction booklet. You can use this for storage or some sort of plastic bag or toy pouch.

The Bad: The bullet fits snugly into the base of the toy, this brings up two issues. One; the vibes can mostly be felt in the base towards the handle (see next paragraph for more info as to why this is bad), the silicone does allow some vibration to travel to the tip but less than half gets there. Two; the bullet is VERY hard to remove, even with a drop of lube used before putting it in. Once the bullet is in the toy fully there is little to grab on to. I had to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to get it out. You can try and squeeze it out but the firm silicone makes that pretty hard, even my strong hands had a hard time with it.

This is sold as an anal toy, right? Then why is the loop so small? If you look at the picture with the sizes, you will notice that the loop is the same size as the large bulge. Even worse is that there is not much separating the two areas of the toy. Now, as long as you keep a finger through the loop there is little chance of the toy being sucked in but that means that this toy can only be used "Hands on".

You can always just have the first bulge inserted for your anal play but for me the tip just barely reached the bottom of my P-spot, nice for a tease but not near enough stimulation for me.

The UGLY:If the small loop was not bad enough, now we get to the deal breaker for me...The placement of the vibe. Two things that bug me about this part of the toy. First and foremost, when your finger is placed through the loop it rests up against the on/off button. So when pushing the toy in, you are pushing the control button. Even worse, the button is real sensitive. I tried to hold the loop on the outside thinking this may help but alas, that did not work to good either as if the loop touches the control button it turns the vibe off momentarily. A picture so you can see where the problem lies.
Experience
So, do I recommend this toy? That is a hard question to answer.
One the one hand; the shape, material and size are pretty nice. Beginners for sure would be happy with this toy (just keep a finger in the loop) and it would certainly make a great toy for female bodied folks used vaginally.
On the other hand; the loop should be bigger for anal use (allowing hands free use), the control button is way too touchy and placed in the worst place possible. Not to mention the bullet should be longer so you can more easily get it out.

Didn't really answer the question did I, eh? Well folks, I gave you the info...you make the decision for yourself. For me this is a solid three star toy.
