I purchased this plug primarily as an upgrade from the Classic Butt Plug Royal, as I wanted something made from silicone and of a superior quality.

The Super Big End is a large plug, aimed at those with prior experience in anal play. Lengthwise it measures in at 5 3/4" - with 5" of that being insertable — which gives it a very gentle gradient from the tip to the widest part of the bulb. At its thickest point the plug has a diameter of 2 3/8", which makes it slightly larger than the Classic Butt Plug Royal. Given the size the plug isn't something you want to rush using, even if you've taken this size before. It's important to go slowly to allow your muscles time to adapt and adjust to the size, else you risk causing tears or more serious injury. The gentle gradient does help a lot when inserting the plug, and allows you to gradually work it in a little at a time, which also makes it a very useful tool for anyone looking to work their way up from a slightly smaller size.

Beneath the bulb is a 7/8" long neck, allowing plenty of space for the muscles to close down behind it once the plug is fully inserted, so you can hold it securely in place for prolonged wearing. The neck is 1 3/8" thick, which again is slightly larger than on the Classic Butt Plug Royal. Attached to this is a wide flared base, which prevents the possibility of the toy becoming lost inside you, and also doubles as a solid handle for pulling the plug out again once you're finished. Removing the plug is very easy to do once you're finished, due to the gently rounded underside of the bulb, which encourages the muscles to dilate when need be.

The plug is made in one single piece from Doc Johnson's platinum silicone, and is completely free from mould lines. I wasn't thrilled by the colour choices, and would have preferred something a little brighter, but I find the graphite colour more attractive than a plain black. Over all I'm pleased with the build quality of the Super Big End, except for in one area. At the tip of the toy there is a cluster of about a dozen pin-prick-sized holes, and while I'm sure that this is an irregularity particular to my plug, I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't picked up on by quality control. I have the slight worry that dirt may be forced into the holes and become trapped there, or that they may split and widen if I'm not careful when cleaning it. I know I'm fussy and could just be making a big deal of it, but I've always fixated on imperfections.

As it's a silicone toy you want to remember to only use a water-based lube with it, to protect the material. Due to the sheer size of the plug, I'd recommend a thick anal lube, which will really adhere to the surface.

When the plug is inside it feels incredibly filling and really pushes against the prostate, which can enhance sex or masturbation. If you're not too accustomed to using a plug of this size, then it can have a habit of shooting out in the midst of orgasm, as I discovered on one occasion. I found that using the plug for thrusting can also be so pleasurable, especially as it's so large; just pushing it in slightly beyond the depth of what's comfortable can produce some intense sensations. The silicone is quite soft and flexible - much more so than the Classic Butt Plug Royal — which means it's great for prolonged wearing, without any discomfort. One of the things I really like about it is how it quickly warms up to body temperature when it's inside you, giving a much more natural feeling.

Silicone is also one of the most hygienic and non-porous materials a sex toy can be made from, so cleaning is easy, and you needn't worry about it picking up odours. The plug can be washed with antibacterial soap and hot water, sprayed with a specialist toy cleaner, as well as being boiled, wiped down with a 10% bleach solution, or being popped in the dishwasher.

The packaging is of a very simple plastic clamshell design; though it is a little too bulky to be a convenient way to store the toy on a long-term basis.

On the whole I'm very pleased with this toy, and it was definitely a worthwhile upgrade from the Classic Butt Plug Royal. For anyone considering a plug of this size, this is the one I would recommend, and it's really worth spending that little extra money.

The Super Big End is a great plug at the larger end of the scale. I've found myself using it much more than I anticipated when I bought it, because I really enjoy the full feeling that it offers. It's one I'd definitely recommend.
