This is a good string of anal beads with safer materials for those on a budget. There is no nylon string to get dirty, and the design offers an odd, new texture to throw a new experience into the mix.

Pros
New and interesting texture, cleaner than most beads on a similar budget, good sizing
This toy is definitely unusual, but fills a somewhat traditional role. Strings of beads like this are designed to be inserted (with some pleasure, hopefully) and then removed at the point of orgasm to enhance the intensity. It's a technique I've used before with bumpy vibes and beads and plugs. I decided to give this one a try. Insertion was easy; with lube, the beads popped right in. The end handle was easy to keep a grip on, but once lubed up, it (of course) got a little slippery. Inserting one bead at a time was still fairly simple, but don't be expecting to be able to thrust much like a dildo with this -- you can't with most beads. It was fun when I tried, but quickly got to be too much effort and just a hair messy (oops).
Wow, this toy is odd. I expected velvety rubber, which it is. The balls seem to be made of TPR, but the entire thing is coated in a flexible, thin coat -- string and all. This is great for keeping it clean, unlike nylon string which can harbor bacteria. The only way I can really describe this is that it is like putting a poorly lubed condom over the top of a string of beads, then stretching it to make a very tight covering. You can push and move the outer coat around over the top of the beads. The material is soft enough to be flexible going in and out, and it is flexible enough that I can't really thrust at all. Yet the beads still have enough silicone-like firmness to poke those pleasure nerves. The rubber blend *can* potentially harbor some bacteria, but when shopping for a string of beads, you could do a LOT worse. I definitely recommend sterilizing this after use. The manufacturer ships and recommends storage of this toy with a light dusting of talc to extend the product life.
The length is perfect -- maybe a bit on the long side for those who are inexperienced, but long enough for most other people. The beads are different sizes and shapes, alternating between shorter and longer beads, making insertion fun. The 'handle' is an oversized ball that my hungry butt once really wanted to try; so don't push too hard. That handle could be a bit bigger.
So far, so good... It is definitely pleasurable and there are no design flaws that inhibit my fun. I'd like the base to be a bit larger, and perhaps a taper would improve it -- with smaller beads up front and larger beads more towards the base. I do have a concern about the coating being very thin in a couple of places, namely near the string/narrow attachment where, if you bend the beads at a tight angle, the coating becomes almost transparent and very thin. This is probably not a potential problem while in use, but it may be over a long period of time. I'm planning to keep my eye on this.
The maintenance it requires is a little heavier than I like since I haven't had talcum powder on hand before. Because of this, I have to keep it in a container. The package can work, so that's what I'm using now; but something else would probably be better for storage. The rubber blend has the potential to hold bacteria, so as always, sterilize with toy cleaner or by boiling and use a condom with partners.
The packaging is no-nonsense. It is a simple, clear packaging that lets the product speak mostly for itself and is not an eyesore full of porn stars. There is just a white information card and the product, along with a note that the product should be stored with a dusting of talc. I've been using the packaging for storage, but there are probably better options out there.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
I was worried about the rubber coating on the outside - 3 months later, its still just fine. No holes in the coating, still velvety and lots of traction. I haven't really abused it, I've taken care of it, but I'm glad to see its still going strong.
