I received the Rump Shakers vibrating butt plug as a Christmas gift from my girlfriend, and what a great gift it was. I’ve wanted to get more experience with butt plugs, and anal vibrators, and this one is both. Because of it smaller and slimmer size, it’s a great place for beginners to start.

The Rump Shakers plug is made of TPR and Sil-A-Gel, and the controller is made from PVC. The texture is soft and smooth. The materials on the product page and the materials on the package don't match. If you want to see the correct material information, search for it on Doc Johnson's site. Doc Johnson's site doesn't say anything about this toy being phthalate free, so if you're worried about that, you may want to stay clear of this toy. It is porous, so a condom should be used if you plan to share this toy. The texture is soft and smooth. You can use silicone-based or water-based lube for this toy. It has a somewhat strong fruity smell, which I didn’t mind, though others might.

The plug is 4 1/2" inches long, 4 of which is insert-able. The bottom is flared so that the toy won’t go all the way in. The tip is about 1/2" an inch in diameter, and the widest point, which is in the middle of the shaft, is about an inch in diameter. The circumference at the widest point is 3 inches.

The cord connecting the bullet in the shaft plugs into a jack on the controller. The controller is supposed to have multiple settings, but I only noticed two. I may have gotten a faulty controller, but as I turned the dial on the controller, I did not feel the vibrations increase until I turned it all the way. If you have different controllers for other toys that you plug into like this one, you could probably use those to change how the bullet vibrates. The controller takes two AA batteries, which are not included.

To clean the plug, use anti-bacterial soap, and warm water, or a toy cleaner. This toy is not water proof, so if you need to clean the bottom, use a wipe, or damp washcloth. Getting water down the hole where the cord goes through could cause a short. However, using a condom with this toy will make clean up even easier, and you won't have to worry about getting water in the plug. I store the plug in it’s original package at the moment, but you could also use a Ziploc bag.

The packaging the toy comes in is a plastic clam shell package. The paper insert has material information on the back.

I love this toy. Because of its small size, it was a great place for me to start with a butt plug. For my first time using it, I went slowly to allow myself to adjust. I also made sure to use plenty lube. Once it was in, the feeling of it being in there by itself felt great, and the vibrations made it even better. The second time I used it, I decided to keep it in while having sex. This was an amazing experience, however, the only way I could keep it in was to lie on my back. Maybe it’s my lack of experience, or just because it’s small, it was a little difficult for me to keep it in.

I still use this every now and then. I still enjoy they way it feels, though I think it's time to move up to a bigger size. With how easy it goes in now, it's also a good way to get plenty of lube for my other toys.
