Sensation Filled Journey, Not for the Faint of Heart!
We found it to be exciting, challenging, and a lot of fun. Icicles No. 27 met all of the standards in quality, beauty, and innovation that we have come to expect from the Icicles line of toys.

For added sensation, you can soak it in hot or cold water. More Extreme? Place in the freezer for a bit. The manufacturers website even says that you can put the toy in the microwave to heat it up.
It is made from glass, so it is hypoallergenic and nonporous. Cleaning? Antibacterial soap and warm water, your favorite toy cleaner, or your dishwasher. Keep in mind that while the toy may be hypoallergenic, your dish-washing solutions may not be. There are no moving parts to break.
This is our third Icicles purchase. We started off with the No. 1, and we liked it so much that we got the No. 6. While browsing for glass toys recently, we got the Icicles No. 27 on a whim. We've looked into glass butt plugs before, but we were always a little underwhelmed by the tiny size and blandness of most. We were immediately taken with the combination of the smooth, smaller round bulb near the base and the textured swirl of the tip. We both looked at each other and went, "oh, that looks fun!" We kept reading, expecting to see that it wasn't as it appeared, but we were pleasantly surprised.
This toy is as beautiful and impressive as it is intimidating. The glass is a gorgeous blush pink color, which I'm in love with. The pictures do not do it justice. It is one of the largest glass butt plugs that I have ever seen, measuring in at approximately 6 inches long from base to tip (with about 5 inches being insertable). It's a little over 5 inches around. The toy is a beautiful blush pink color. It has a small base and a narrow stem, followed by what I would call a medium sized bulb. It is topped off with a tear drop shaped end, which features a ridged swirl that spirals around to the tip. The base is not as wide across as most of the traditional silicone or rubber butt plugs that I have tried in the past, but it is not as small as a lot of the metal ones that I'm always fearing will unexpectedly disappear while in use. That being said, it is a non-flexible material, so even with it being smaller, the base can become uncomfortable after a while.
I've used and enjoyed some of the largest anal toys, but it's been a while. The Icicles No. 27 is not for the faint of heart, or the out of practice. I would highly recommend working your way up to this one with lots of lube, stretching with fingers, and smaller toys before trying to insert it. We have an on-going joke in our house that if it's pink it can't hurt. Without the proper warm up, I think this toy would have finally been the one to make our theory fall apart.
With the proper warm up, it was sensational! Inserted slowly and with a slight twist, the texture of the swirls felt incredible. Once inserted, the hard weight of it was a completely new sensation. I'm used to the softer jelly materials and moderately flexible rubber toys that flex and move with the body.
This has a heavy, solid weight that was totally different from anything else I've tried. Before inserting it, we soaked it in hot water, so the glass had absorbed the warmth. Once inside of me, it was a pleasant, heated heaviness. It was comfortable to wear for a short period of time. It was also a challenge to keep it in place because of the weight. That was an interesting experience all by itself. We were just testing the waters, so we didn't move it around too much once it was in place.
This toy is definitely one that I plan on playing with a lot more. I'm interested to see how well it will transfer vibrations if we combine it with a pair of vibrating panties, or a bullet. Also, I'm excited to try it next time cooled rather than heated. I have a feeling that it would be just as interesting used vaginally, as well. As a final thought on the Icicles No. 27, I would say that you shouldn't let the size scare you away from buying the toy. You don't have to jump in and expect yourself to be able to use it as a beginning toy right from the start. Have fun working up to it. It will certainly lead to you and your partner learning all the ins and outs of what your body likes, and how quickly you adapt. Getting to know each other intimately is what this is all about, right? Have fun with it, and don't be scared to try something new and a little risky along the way.
