I love Sasha Grey and have longed for her product line for a while now. I was so excited when I ordered the Sasha Grey medium Plug by Doc Johnson. It's best suited for its intended use as a butt plug. It's larger than I thought it was and is best suited for more advanced anal play users. Personally, I had to warm up with a smaller toy before I could insert the full plug.



Although this toy doesn't offer much length, you could use this toy vaginally. I enjoyed thrusting it in and out, which provided a nice sensation due to the large size.

It's made of 100% Pyrex glass, which rates as a 10 on the material safety scale. Being glass, it is hard to the touch, so I wouldn't recommend this to users who like softer materials. It's unyielding, non-porous, phthalate-free, and can be sterilized. While I recommend always covering a toy you plan to share, this toy can be sterilized for shared usage.

It does not have a smell to it at all, nor does it have any taste. I didn't find any imperfections in my toy. It was very smooth to the touch and was easy to use. This toy lacks texture, so if you prefer swirls and bumps and such, I recommend you look elsewhere.

This plug would be difficult for beginners because it is large. It stand 4.25" tall and has a circumference of 6.25" at the widest point. The base measures 2", which is a good size, but some may prefer it to be a little larger. It makes it easy for prolonged wear since the base will prevent the toy from slipping inside you.

Due to the larger size, this plug is geared more towards intermediate and advanced users. I recommend using a smaller plug to warm up with until you are comfortable with the size of this toy. This toy is travel friendly, but make sure to package it correctly so that it doesn't get damaged during travel.

The look of this plug is like most other plugs. It has a tapered end that flows into the neck of the toy and then the base. There are a few exceptions, though. The tapered end is short and quickly goes from a small poke to a large ouch if you have not warmed up correctly. The neck is also smaller than I would have expected for a toy this large, which can make it harder to remove. I didn't find this a problem for me though. That does mean that it's comfortable for longer wear though, which is always a bonus with plugs.

I was very excited when I first got the plug. It didn't look too big until I actually took it out of the package. Once it was removed from the package, I was like WHOA! I can't wrap my fingers closed around it. That didn't deter me, though, and I was excited to give it a shot. Boy, am I glad I did. It's smooth and very pleasurable. It has become my favorite butt plug.

Being made of Pyrex glass, this toy is easy to clean. You can use soap and water, toy wipes, or toy cleaner. You can boil it or you can use a bleach solution to clean it. It's very easy to clean and can withstand many cleaning options. Don't forget, you can also place it on the top rack in the dishwasher.

I personally like to keep it stored in the box with the foam it came in just because it protects the toy well and is easy for storage. You could also use padded pouches to store it in.

The nature of glass allows you to use any lube. I have used oil based lubes, silicone based lubes, and water based lubes with no problems.

The Sasha Grey Medium plug comes in a black box. The front has a picture of the plug with Sasha Grey written across it. Both of the sides have a picture of Sasha Grey. The back of the box tells you a little about black glass and the toy.



The top of the box states Doc Johnson and has a hook for it to be hung on store pegs. The bottom of the box has the barcode and states that it's a medium plug, made from Doc Johnson, etc.




Upon opening the box, you will find black foam, which was actually difficult to remove from the box. Once I got it out, I removed the top piece of foam to reveal the toy. The toy is placed securely in a foam piece that is cutout to fit the plug in. I usually keep my glass toys in the toy pouches, but I am keeping the box for this one because it protects the toy very well. Plus, it is easier for storage

At first I was shocked by the rather large size, but I quickly got over that and gave it a try. My first try wasn't a success because it was a little more than I could handle without warming up to it. Since I couldn't use it as I wanted, I tried it vaginally. It was easy to use and while it lacks length to fully satisfy me vaginally, it provided that full feeling and was great as a teaser. The next day I used a smaller plug and worked up to the medium Sasha Grey Plug and was very satisfied. It is now my go to plug during solo play.
