The Joyballs Anal Wave has really just one purpose in its existence and that is to provide the user with delicious 'buns-up' anal pleasure. Heck, it says anal in the name so I doubt that it will be used for anything other than backdoor insertion but people always surprise me with their creativity! For both of us it was a no-brainer that these were destined for hiding up the dark recesses of our backsides and the silicone material meant sterilization and sharing would be possible! Yay, no fighting over ownership of these sphincter buddies! These anal beads are not overly intimidating in size and can be enjoyed by newcomers to anal play or seasoned veterans. The loop at the base makes for easy retrieval and safe play because it's wide enough to prevent total loss inside the ass.

This beaded butt toy is made from ultra silky soft silicone which has no odor detectable whatsoever. The entire toy is sleek and smooth with only a very fine seam line running the entire length of both sides of the toy. We are not concerned by this holdover from the molding process because it's so fine that it has no chance of being felt or causing any damage to your delicate internals. While being so soft to the touch each ball does have a fair amount of firmness to it and a hard squeeze in the hands only causes minor deformation. The entire length is floppy but you need that property in anal beads to help slide them inside the ass. The insertion expert will have to hold each bead in their fingers to pop them inside one ball at a time. The Anal Wave can be stretched a little over an inch in length by holding each end and giving a good pull. We do have some minor concerns about theses beads breaking in between the balls and being lost inside but it would take quite a large amount of force to accomplish this.

A German company named Joy Division is the manufacturer of these little delights and they offer quite a large variety of sex toys for every kind of use. They have done an excellent job of making a set of beads that can satisfy just about every user. The insertable length of the Anal Wave is a respectable 5" with the end loop adding another 1 1/2" in total length. The loop makes for an excellent finger hole for retrieval/removal of the beads while being large enough to protect against loss inside the ass. There is a total of 5 beads along the length with the first being about 3/4" in diameter and the next two beads grow to a maximum diameter of 1 1/8" before dropping back down in two steps to the 3/4" size. As we said earlier this anal toy should be easy to accept for most people who can relax and have lube at the ready. The Anal Wave did send waves of pleasure to my husband by rubbing against his prostate during insertion and removal and, like beads are supposed to do for men, pulling them out at the point of orgasm provided him with enhanced pleasure. I should also mention that I'm in love with the blue color!

Both of us have been impressed thus far with the Anal Wave and it hasn't come out any the worse for wear. The 100% silicone construction has meant that we can give it a quick boil between our lovemaking sessions so the other partner can further enjoy this product. The decent size of the toy both in diameter and length has made for easy insertion without gobs of lube or effort. Another plus of these beads is that the end loop/base is large enough to be safe but small enough to stay out of the way during vaginal sex. A common complaint of my husband is that other anal toy bases rub his cock shaft uncomfortably during double penetration play. 100% silicone is the way to go for any sex toy as far as we're concerned and anal beads are even more important especially if you plan on sharing with a special loved one. Cleaning can be performed by boiling three minutes or washing with a 10% bleach solution. This toy can also be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher but make sure you empty it before the kids come home to avoid uncomfortable explanations!

Silicone lube is a definite no-no for silicone toys and if you make that mistake you run the risk of dissolving this product into a sticky mess. Water based lube is recommended and choose something fairly thick for anal play. Also if you have jelly toys in your bedroom tickle trunk make sure they do not contact the Joyballs Anal Wave or you will get the same effect. A small satin bag with a draw-string closure is included with the Wave but in our opinion it's more than a tad tacky and we'll probably pitch this in the trash. We always recommend individual zip-lock bags for toy storage to prevent contact with each other.

Despite all our ravings thus far about these anal beads and the manufacturer Joy Division, the packaging leaves quite a bit to be desired. For a toy only 7" long with a width of less than 1 1/2" it was deemed necessary to use a box 12" by 4" by 2 1/2". And not just a box..... a clam shell type mold held the Anal Wave inside the outer box! We are by no means tree-huggers but the waste of materials used in this packaging is astounding and is also due to this box obviously being used for what looks like an available 10" model of these beads. We did like the chrome finish used on the cardboard (ooh shiny!) and there is at least a dozen languages in the instruction pamphlet. The tacky satin bag, an advertisement for all the other toys offered by Joy Division, and a small sample of lube were also included. The lube went straight in the garbage as it contained glycerin which has proven in the past to be irritating to my delicate parts.
