Provocation? Maybe.
The Provoke certainly has what it takes to provoke a strong response. Lots of variety in it and a sexy shape help. But it's not all that safe for anal, male prostate, play.

Pros
Compact, discreet, strong, variety
Cons
Loud, no safety features for anal play
Provoke. It encourages visions of evocation. Thoughts of desire or extreme emotion. Of being wanton. If only this Provoke did that for me.
The Provoke toy is a beautiful, sleek black toy, much wider at one end than the other. It fits in your hand beautifully. It's made of plastic, is 6 and a half inches in length and has two different circumferences (3 1/4" and 5 3/4") as well as two different insertable lengths (2 3/4" and 3 3/4").
What I will say off the top is that this is not an anal toy in my opinion. It does not have any retrieval cord or way to keep hold of it should the Provoke end up further in than it should. The size, being smoothly progressive, will not prevent loss of the toy. Extreme caution should be used. It does, however, stimulate the female prostate (located on the anterior of the vagina) quite well.
Provoke is made of phthalate and latex free A.B.S. plastic and is waterproof. This helps with cleaning in that you don't have to worry about water getting inside the toy when you clean it. It can not be sterilized however. So if you are going to use it anally, I'd advise using a condom if you intend to share it.
The vibe has a satin smooth feel to it, but it's not a shiny or slippery plastic. You can also use both silicone and water based lubes with it. There is minimal, if any, smell. And the shape fits in your hand quite well.
It needs 2 AAA batteries, which are not included, though this is clearly stated on the packaging. The packaging rudimentary directions as well as an explanation of the toy. The one thing that would have been nice to see would be how long you need to hold the button down for to turn the toy off. It's somewhere around 5 - 7 seconds. This is pretty long.
The vibration is pretty strong at the larger end and only slightly less so in the smaller end. The smaller end is great for pinpoint use and the larger end fills you up quite nicely. It provides excellent pressure against the female prostate.
The packaging is fairly discreet in that it's not bright and the toy doesn't scream "sex toy." Most people probably wouldn't even notice it on your bedside table. You can keep the package to store Provoke as well.
This is also pretty much exactly the same as Evolved Novelties Sweet Embrace. The only difference I can see is the color.

Experience
Overall, I enjoyed the Provoke. It took a little to figure out which settings worked, which end, how much pressure, ect.; but once I did, the orgasms came fairly quickly and intensely. I was eager to try it out on my husband before it came, but once it did, I worried about how we'd be able to secure it or retrieve it. Last thing I wanted was a trip to the ER. And because of that, he didn't get to try it out. We will probably try it out on his perineum and see how that works for him, but that has yet to happen. You'll have to wait for the follow-up review.
