So you might not love this if you're a size queen, but the texture is more than enough to make up for the lack of girth. Since it is a bit smaller, it works well both anally and vaginally, and can even double as a back massager.

Pros
Easy to use, Easy to clean, Easy to play with temperatures, Easy to..
This is a good toy for just about anyone. Vaginally it's not too much, and if you can take it anally, also a pleasant treat. Because it's so stiff, it's great for hitting the g-spot, but be careful if letting a partner control it as glass can do some damage if you're not careful. If there's no sexual purpose you can find for this probe, you can always use it as a totally legit back massager.
This pretty probe is made of tempered glass. That makes it free of phthalates and all that icky junk, and also means that you can play with temperatures as well. There's absolutely no give to the material whatsoever, so this can make the probe feel a little bit bigger than it actually is. The glass itself is very smooth, with the only texture being a set of bumps along the shaft. No seams at all!
Another nice perk of being made of tempered glass is that if you do manage to have a break inducing fall, it's going to break into large, easy to handle pieces, rather than splinter all over the place to get stuck in your feet for months.
This probe stands at about 8" tall, and you can insert up to 7 1/2" of it. The top 5 1/2" is made up of 6 little bulbs, all stacked on top of each other. So that means going right from one to the next, however there's a fairly small circumference jump of 1/4" between the first and second bulge, and about 1/8" between the second to third, and third to fourth with the fourth, fifth, and sixth being the same size of about 4" around. After that you get just about 1 1/4" of plain shaft, then it balloons back out a bit at the base.
It's not all that discreet to anybody who knows anything about sex toys, but you can pass it off as a back massager if you happen to leave it out and it gets spotted.
This bulbous probe did great, both vaginally and anally. Because it's not huge, most women should be able to handle the size very easily. It won't be the most filling ever, but it makes up for that with its lovely shape that provides very interesting sensations to the entrance of the vagina. Anally, well, this is not a toy for the anally inexperienced. You don't need to be an expert by any means, but this should definitely not be the first thing you attempt to stick in your butt. The flared base means that you can either use it as a handle for thrusting as well as meaning that you can keep it in anally and not lose it.
It also does temperatures amazingly well. While it doesn't take gobs of time to warm up to body temperature, you can easily warm this up by running it under some warm water/placing it in a bowl of warm (not hot) water, or cool it down by placing it in the fridge or a bowl of ice water.
No matter which hole you use it in, you're not necessarily going to feel individual bulbs, but instead something closer to a general feeling of texture. It'll feel smooth while keeping itself from being boring.
Glass is obscenely easy to care for. Wash it. Any way you want to. Seriously. Toy cleaner, soap and water, boil it, dishwasher it, bleach it, whatever. You can also use any body safe lube you want with this, water, silicone, or oil based.
For storage, if you don't already have a storage pouch (you don't need a heavily padded one) then I recommend wrapping it either in a t-shirt or a long sock.
The packaging seemed almost ridiculously huge in comparison to the probe itself. There's nothing discreet about it, so I would pitch it once you've got somewhere better to store your toy. The probe itself is nestled into a styrofoam block and then placed inside a little plastic box that you can see through.
There were no real instructions anywhere, but the box is pretty clear about the fact that it is glass, can be heated up or cooled down under warm water or being placed in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes, and is seamless, durable, easy clean, and non toxic.
It doesn't lend itself well to being used again, since it's pretty easy to inadvertently destroy the cardboard box trying to get the plastic box out.
If sharing this toy during a sexy session, you should make sure to use a condom if you don't feel like cleaning in the heat of the moment. You should also make sure not to go back to the vagina once you've gone in the back door without cleaning first. You could get a serious infection that way.
This was my second glass toy and I have to say, worth every penny. I haven't quite got the skill to take this anally yet, at least not comfortably, but behind the discomfort I could definitely feel pleasure, so I definitely won't be giving up on that path. Vaginally it gives me g-spot orgasms, which is difficult enough to begin with, let alone for something that doesn't vibrate.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore18 months after original review
I love the idea, but as I acquired more glass toys, this one saw less and less use until I eventually passed it on. I still think it's a wonderful toy, especially for the price, and do recommend it to anybody who's interested in it.
