I hadn't had much experience with anal play when I bought this plug. Fingers and (small) dildos were all I had tried up to this point, but I was ready to expand my horizons and decided to invest in a plug. I was a bit hesitant to buy this at first, worried that it would be too big or not big enough. Let me just say that all of my worries were in vain, because this plug is the perfect size to suit my needs! While I wouldn't try using the Tantus Ryder if you have zero experience, I found that it required very little work up to reach the appropriate level.

The silicone was very smooth and easy to clean (wipes and bleach worked well with it). The lube I like to use is Liquid Silk, which is water based but DOES contain some silicone. I tested it against the base when I bought the plug and didn't notice any problems, so I decided it was worth the risk. I'm happy to say that I haven't run into any problems at all using this lube! I've been told that Tantus silicone is stable enough to use high-grade pure silicone lube with, although I haven't tried this myself- nor do I think I will, as I would hate to harm one of my favorite toys!

It's an interesting shape, but doesn't allow for any slippage. However, I do think that if you are used to plugs that are quite a sight bigger you might run into that kind of problem! The base is flexible but still holds it firm, and the fact that it's flat makes sex with the plug extremely easy and comfortable for both parties. It's a bit firmer than I expected but still quite pleasant. It was slightly uncomfortable when used in conjunction with a firm vaginal dildo (glass, metal, etc), so I would avoid that combination in practice.

The only complaint I can think of is that sometimes after cleaning a slight smell will still cling to the silicone. A thorough bleaching removed that problem for me.

All in all, this was a very solid purchase and I am happy that I bought it. Definitely a good value!

It's been a few years, and this is still one of my favorite toys. I was worried it would get too small for me, but it hasn't; if anything, it's the perfect size! And the shape is still to die for. Tantus really knew what they were doing with this one!
