The P-spot is something every man (and a few women) should be familiar with. The ability to stimulate the prostate can lead to some of the most powerful orgasms this side of the Mississippi. If you're familiar with your prostate and want to step it up a notch, consider the Master Tool 1. The extra thickness gives a sensation all its own.

Pros
Comfortable material, large size, good price
Cons
Unusual shape, does not stay put, obnoxious packaging
The Master Tool 1 is part of the Doc Johnson TitanMen line of anal toys aimed specifically at men. The Toolset is made up of Tools 1, 2, and 3 each in Trainer (small) and Master (large) sizes. The tools are essentially plugs designed in different shapes to achieve different sensations.
The Trainer size is pretty good sized and the Master variety is large, no doubt about it. The Trainers are great for a warm up while the Master is an experience all in itself.
All the toys in the TitanMen line are made of Sil-a-Gel, an anti-bacterial, non-toxic material manufactured without latex or cadmium (research has linked exposure to cadmium to lung and prostate cancer). The Sil-a-Gel material is a dense, heavy gel with a good amount of resistance and give that warms to body temperature very quickly.
Most Sil-a-Gel products have a fairly strong plastic odor fresh out of the packaging that fades quickly. While present, the odor can affect the taste of the item.
Being designed for anal use, you will want to use lube with this tool. Luckily, Sil-a-Gel is compatible with all types of lube. Since the material is only slightly porus, an antibacterial wipe can clean the tool quickly and easily.
You can get an idea of the size with the useful 1:1 product size meter below the image on the store page. Being a plug, the Master tool is not a massive item but it is certainly larger than its Trainer brother. It is not ideal for beginners and users new to anal play may want to consider the Trainer version first. The design allows stimulation of the male P-spot and several owners have reported using it this way to great effect.
There is little variation in thickness between the thickest and thinnest parts of the shaft. This makes keeping the tool inside a little tricky so think carefully before you wear this one outside.
"But Research" you may ask. "What else can I do with this tool?" Well, my answer may surprise you. If you examine the widely flared base in the product image you will notice that despite being an unusual shape, this tool is harness compatible. Yes indeed, you can slip this little dinger into any ring harness and away you go.
Some folks who have had trouble hitting the prostate with the smaller, more focused items like the Aneros have had good luck with the tool since it is a much thicker item. The Sil-a-Gel becomes very slick and difficult to grip when lubed up (as you may have guessed). Keep this in mind if using during intercourse or you may find yourself firing your toy across the room in a slippery artillery barrage.
A plain old antibacterial wipe is enough to clean this toy after use. The odd shape make using a condom difficult so being able to clean the material itself is convenient. Also convenient, Sil-a-Gel is compatible with all types of lubes. Even though the material is called Sil-a-Gel, do not confuse it with silicon. The TitanMen line of tools should not be put in the dishwasher.
All the items in the TitanMen line have similar packaging. The Master Tool 1 comes in a clear plastic box with blue and white patterning and industrial block text proclaiming it (the tool) an "indestructible anal toy". True or not, some owners have complained about the styling of the packages. There is nothing discreet about the package and you may have to pull a tricky maneuver to dispose of it.
For users seeking to stimulate the prostate with a minimum of technique, the Master Tool 1 will do the trick. Men new to anal play should consider owning at least one prostate specific toy and this should be it.
Effective
Follow-up commentaryI still like it16 months after original review
As I have bought larger and larger toys to play with, I find that I don't get to use the old tool much anymore. There's nothing wrong with the design, I still think it's a clever and innovative shape that is effective at what it does. I just find that it's too small for my purposes now. This was a fine item when I needed to warm up with something small, and I recommend it to people just starting out in anal play, but I've outgrown it.

Even though the packaging might say indestructible I'd still be careful with it - most materials other than 100% silicone, metal,. wood, glass and hard plastic don't hold up well to oil lubes and can have funny reactions with other toys.
It looks kind of big for a first toy - I guess it must be squishy.
