Now strip naked and get on the probulator!
While it can't be sanitized, and is very floppy, it works quite well for the purpose for which it was intended. Unfortunately, the Doc Johnson Anal Probe isn't fantastically stimulating beyond it's base purpose.
It's really nice for warming up to take something else, but falls ironically short in the long game.

Pros
Flexible, soft, smooth, and long.
Cons
Awkward to wield, spherical head isn't the best shape for beginning depth-play.
All Futurama jokes aside, this probe will NOT leave you hurting, or wanting, for that matter. The Doc Johnson Anal Probe is a great inclusion in any toy chest. Whether you're an intermediate anal adventurer, or if you are more on the beginner's side of things, the Anal Probe is still an inexpensive and well-made toy.
The Doc Johnson Anal Probe continues DJ's reputation of acceptable, if not fantastic, inexpensive adult toys. This tool features a small spherical head, and long slender neck. This means it can stimulate the colon while leaving the often tender anus largely un-molested. This also allows the head to stretch and massage the deeper part of the colon that other toys can't reach: the sigmoid colon. Most penetration only stimulates the rectum; the first 4 inches or so. This toy's flexible neck allows the head to snake its way into the "s-shape" of the sigmoid colon. It's certainly a unique experience, but not necessarily one I'll be making a regular part of my routine.
Doc Johnson's patented Sil-a-gel rears its head again. It's basically PVC, but without the toxic phthalates that most PVC toys boast. However, like PVC, it isn't quite as smooth and slick as silicon, and can have quite a lot of drag on the skin if not properly lubed (with either silicon or water based lube: no oils). Sil-a-gel is also incapable of being sterilized. No boiling or bleaching this one, only toy cleaner or soap and warm water. This also means if it is going to be shared, or used for both vaginal and anal, it should be used with a condom or other cover to prevent infection. Still better than regular "jelly" though.
Like most Doc Johnson toys, the Anal Probe does have a noticeable seam, but it is only a circular one at the base of the handle, quite far away from any part of it intended to go in your butt. Then again, I didn't pay $50 for a silicon G-force, so that's the trade off I took. Definitely worth it.
The head of this toy can be quite difficult to insert if it isn't preceded by a nice warm-up stretch. It can be difficult to get used to the sensation if you're unfamiliar with it, but the neck is slim enough to go largely un-noticed, leaving the majority of the sensation to come from the ball on the end. It's very efficient for relaxing the first 6 or 7 inches of your butt, but without any structure, targeted pressure or stimulation is nigh impossible.

Experience
I found the best preparation for the Anal Probe to be as simple as a few lubed up fingers (yours or a partner's) gently massaging the sphincter externally. This relaxed me perfectly to be able to pop the head in my anus and slowly start sliding it in and out, getting used to the sensation and seeing how far I could take the big boy. In the end, it warmed me up to the point of being mind-numbingly horny and quite desperate for something bigger. There are far too few bi-guys in the south. Hopefully I'll be able to do a few videos and find a good substitute here!
