The silicone X-10 beads are for any looking for a good set of anal beads. Beginners into the anal arena will find these beads start small enough to be easily inserted. While more experienced users will like the number of beads and the larger diameters of the last few beads.

As all silicone does, the silicone X-10 beads do have a smell to them when new but it mostly goes away after washing them. Because they are silicone they are a safer material and more hygienic than the standard X-10 beads which are made of Jelly. However, while the regular X-10 beads can be used with either water or silicone based lubes, the silicone X-10 beads can only be used with water based lubes. The other significant difference we noticed between the silicone X-10 beads and the X-10 beads is that the silicone is more elastic. This means, first of all, that they are not rigid enough to easily insert. With the jelly X-10 beads we could insert by holding just the handle. With the Silicone X-10 beads this will not work, the material is so flexible that each bead must be pushed in with help of your fingers, and when you pull them out there is a great deal of stretching in the material before they come out.

The design and shape of the X-10 beads is excellent. However because of the material some problems in using them can occur. With the regular X-10 beads the rigidity of the links between the beads means that as you insert more beads it penetrates deeper. With the Silicone X-10 beads the flexibility of the material allows the beads to group together closer so that inserting more beads does not push the others as deep as it would with the regular X-10 beads.

We found that these beads performed better than most but not quite as good as we would have hoped. Once lubed up they are very slick and the fist ball is very small, making it pretty easy to insert. However putting in all the beads can be a task because each bead must be pushed in using your fingers due to the material problems mentioned above. Once in place however the beads stay in very well and the retrieval ring or handle make gripping them to pull them out very easy. When pulling out however you will notice some difficulty due the stretching of the links between the beads.

Cleaning the Silicone X-10 beads is a breeze, just simply wash them with warm water and either antibacterial toy cleaner or a mild soap and store out of sunlight and away from heat. Typically we keep toys inside of Ziploc bags to keep lint from getting on them and that is a good idea with this toy because hair or lint will easily cling to it.
