This is a douche designed for cleaning out the rectal region prior to anal play, or any time that you feel a cleaning would be ideal. Vaginal douching is not ideal or typically recommended, as the natural PH and bacterial balance can be altered by douching, potentially leading to minor health problems and a chance of infection. Do not use this vaginally unless specifically directed by your doctor.

The bulb pops off of the attachment. Then, soap and water or just water can be used to fill the bulb, and the attachment is added once more to direct the cleansing agents within the body when the bulb is squeezed. Four holes, two on either side of the tip, allow the liquid within to flow out. The bulb is quite easy to grip and squeeze, making it ideal for those with a weak hand or grip, or hand/wrist injuries or issues.

Some may find using this item to be pleasurable, and others may be interested in varying the water temperature somewhat to introduce the area to temperature play, or to use an alternating temperature to that of a toy to be used, to greater enhance the temperature contrast.

The attachment that is inserted is TPE, rated at a 6 on the safety scale, so sharing or using between orifices is not recommended - putting a condom over this would render it rather ineffective. It is firm and inflexible, with a soft, smooth texture, and does pick up some debris, though not as much as the bulb does.

The bulb is silicone, a 10 on the safety scale. It is soft and quite pleasant to the touch, and very flexible and pliant. It picks up static and debris quite easily when it comes into contact with fabrics.

Those new or experienced with anal play and cleaning will enjoy the materials, and find them easy and pleasant to use. I am unable to perceive a smell even when holding either part to my nose, fresh out of the package, and I have declined to taste it, as I can't think of any occasion it would be a good idea to put this into the mouth.

The design is a great idea, but the entire item is too large to be effective.

If the bulb, 4 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide, is filled to capacity, it is too heavy to stay attached to the shaft, as it just pops on, and will fall off.

If I allow my measuring tape to follow the bend of the shaft, it is just over 7" long. The diameter of the shaft is about 1/2", while the "head" is right around 3/4", and was too large, for me, to allow the water to easily flow back out of the body after the bulb was squeezed. The holes are a good size, and I could feel the water rushing out and into my body, which was nice, but if I apply medium-light pressure, the seal of the bulb and shaft pops open, allowing water to squirt out of the side, rather than up through the shaft.

While the shape of the shaft follows the curve of the body, the edges of the holes are a bit rough, and can scrape if you don't use enough lube.

The size of this toy left the performance lacking for me. After having read reviews for smaller douches in which the users have commented that it took to long to get the job done, I was expecting this larger one to be more effective. However, it didn't work the way it should because of the difficulty in handling and using it. If the bulb screwed on, that would certainly help, as I wouldn't have to worry about it coming loose or falling off during use. Both pieces being smaller would also help.

Cleaning before and after use is ideal, due to the tendency of both parts to pick up debris. Either soap and water or toy cleaner can be used, and will ensure that you are inserting and storing a clean item. I feel cleaning is fairly simple and easy, as there are no ridges or bumps to worry about paying special attention to, and water can be run through the entire toy to ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly. If you're especially concerned, a bottle brush could be used to clean interior surfaces, though all that should come into contact with them is soap and water.

Due to the silicone bulb, water-based lube is recommended to avoid material reactions if the lube dribbles or runs down.

Storage is up to you and wherever you would like to or can fit the item. Store apart from other toys to avoid material reactions. I keep my toys in Sugar Saks, wrapping toys that may react with each other in bandannas, and would recommend a similar approach. This doesn't require any special or difficult storage approaches, and it's of a size that would fit easily into a drawer or shoebox.

This item comes in the familiar clear plastic clamshell package, designed for hanging on a wall fixture in a store. There is a paper insert decorated with printed flowers, with the front containing product name, materials, and brand. The back repeats the name, brand, and material, with selling points included in English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian, as well as copyright, brand website, brief use recommendation, a traditional barcode as well as a "3-D" mobile barcode, which takes you directly to the brand website, and information for product registration. There are no instructions or tips included, aside from the recommendation to use water-based lube and wash the product before and after use.

The packaging could certainly be used for storage, if desired; however, I prefer slightly less bulky storage options. While the packaging does not mention specifically what the item is or the intended use, it is implied, and the clear packaging will not disguise anything, resulting in very little discretion for those who require it. I do not see recycling information mentioned anywhere on the package or insert; however, I don't see anything that would prohibit recycling in my area - we have an extra trash can for recycling, and all items go into it and are picked up on or around garbage day. Other areas may differ in regulations. It feels to be about the same type of plastic used to make water bottles.
