The Rainbow Heart is a glass dildo made to please a vagina or anus that is absolutely in love with intense texture. The straight shaft is not going to rub everyone the right way. If you have a shallow G-spot like me, you might find it insanely easy to tilt up enough to provide the G-spot stimulation that you want and need. The design can either bring immense pleasure or immense pain. I suggest running away from this toy if you have a sensitive vagina or anus. Most glass toys are really difficult to hold onto if you have lubed up fingers, but SSA decided to be nice and give the Rainbow Heart a heart shaped handle. The handle is pretty large. I am able to fit 3 fingers into the handle, but I have small hands. Everyone should find it easy to slip at least two fingers into the handle. Even though the shaft is covered in rainbow colored nubs, the heart handle is smooth and a light pink color.
While the colors are bright, the glass does hosts bubbles in almost every nub. There are also some bubbles where the handle meets the shaft. For the price, I am not going to complain. It feels good, and it is just so pretty. I am used to bubbles in my glass toys, so this is not a weird thing for me.
Glass dildos have some of the most discreet designs, and this one is no different. While I would not automatically assume that this was a sex toy, I do not think it would take me very long to figure it out. However, if a child was to find it (we all know how they like to go through our things) I think they would pass it up as just another one of Mom's collectibles, antiques, or knickknacks.
For those of you who need a G-spot curve in order to hit your sweet spots, I would say this one is probably not for you. The Rainbow Heart has a straight shaft. Do I wish there was a curve? Sure, but I am one of those lucky few who can tilt it up in order to get the G-spot stimulation I need.

In the end, I have had some pretty intense orgasms. This toy definitely does not hesitate to make me squirt. The texture plus the rigidness rubs my G-spot like a pro.


It was not all fun and games though. I thought I had finally met my match in textured toys whenever I tried this out for the first time. I lubed up and inserted it. Only instead of a moan of ecstasy, I let out a moan of pain. I immediately withdrew the toy from my vagina. I instantly felt a wave of disappointment. I had never had a problem with texture overload before. Why now? Why this toy? I compared it to the Rainbow Mega Nubby from Don Wands. I found a huge difference. The diameter of the Rainbow Heart is bigger than that of the Rainbow Mega Nubby. The product page states that they both have the same diameter, and my eyes did not see a difference (until I put them together). My vagina could instantly tell a difference. Any difference in diameter is a huge deal when it comes to glass toys. This is because the material is so rigid, it tends to feel bigger than it looks. Another difference? The nubbed texture is raised a lot more, and the nubs themselves are not as rounded as the Rainbow Mega Nubby. They almost look and feel pointy.

The second attempt was much better. I warmed myself up with some other glass toys, and once I got to the Rainbow Heart it was smooth sailing. I was lubed up with natural and bottled lube. It took about 5 minutes of slow thrusting and a carefully placed angle before I had a squirting orgasm. I can usually keep going until I am spent, but my vagina was too sensitive (thanks to the texture) for me to continue. The texture became too much after I had cum, so my husband tossed the toy aside and resumed his playtime.


While I managed to make it work for brief vaginal play, I cannot ever see me trying to insert this anally. Even though my vagina loves texture, my bum prefers a smooth ride.
If you want to attempt anal with this toy, be my guest. You are so brave in my eyes. Just be careful when thrusting and use plenty of lubricant.

In order to keep glass in tip top shape, all you have to do is wash down with warm water and antibacterial soap. You can also use your desired toy cleaner.
Boiling the glass toy for about 3-5 minutes or wiping down with a 10% bleach solution are options if you prefer a deeper clean. Either way, you never have to worry about your glass toy harboring bacteria.
Water, silicone, and oil based lubes can be used with any glass toy.
Before inserting the toy, always be sure to give the toy a look over in order to search for cracks or breaks. If you find one, DO NOT continue to insert this anywhere.
If you or your partner want to experiment with temperatures, glass is a perfect choice to start with. Fill up a bowl with water of the desired temperature. Then place the toy in the bowl for a couple of minutes. I usually let it soak in the water for about 5 minutes.

I used to be okay with this simplistic packaging, but I have had too many glass toys from SSA Glass delivered only to be broken. I am kinda fed up with it. So now when I purchase a SSA glass toy, I also purchase a padded pouch. I immediately toss the red pouch away whenever my toy arrives.

Not only is the pouch paper thin, with no padded protection whatsoever, there is no way to close the pouch. There is a drawstring, but it immediately opens back up. Otherwise, the toy will not hesitate to slip out and break your toe or break into pieces.
If you cannot buy a padded pouch right away, I suggest using a hair tie or rubber band to keep the top of the pouch closed.
