Intense Vibrations and Cheek Spread

I can't give this toy a 5 star rating because of the size of the base and difficult-to-reach controls. Other than those two issues, the actual insertable portion of the toy was very fun to use and the vibrations are strong enough to get the job done.

Use

The Flexi Risque by Cal Exotics is a vibrating butt plug with 10 different vibration speeds and patterns. Like all good butt plugs, it is covered in 100% silicone for sanitation and easy cleaning, and it has a wide flared base so that you don't have to worry about it slipping inside and getting stuck.

All of those are excellent points except for the flared base, which in my opinion flares out way too much. It was distracting having something that wide stuck between my butt cheeks.

Material / Texture

The Flexi Risque is covered with a velvety soft, smooth 100% silicone covering. Being covered with silicone, the toy is very safe and easy to clean. On the Edenfantasys scale, silicone rates at 10/10 for safety. Below is a hyperlink to addition information on silicone material:

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Flexi Risque is fairly normal for butt plugs, with the exception of the over-sized flared base. The toy has an insertable length of 3 1/2 inches and a maximum insertable diameter of 1 1/2". Those measurements work well for intermediate to advanced users of anal toys. Beginners may find that the 1 1/2" diameter takes a little bit of warming up to handle.

The downside of this toy is the wide base used to control the vibrations and hold the batteries. Its flared base measures about 3" in diameter and, at least for me, that was distractingly wide. To give you a comparison, 3" diameter is about the same as a standard soup can.

Care and Maintenance

The Flexi Risque has a 100% silicone covering so it should only be used with water-based lubricant. Silicone based lube can damage the surface, and as it is a decent sized anal toy you will want plenty of lube.

Cleaning is easy with soap, water and a standard toy cleaner. Unlike most silicone toys, you can't boil or run this through the dishwasher since it's not listed anywhere as waterproof.
Follow-up commentary
My wife & I have developed a love/hate relationship with the Flexi Risque. The vibrations are really nice, the material feels great and is super easy to take care of but the size of the base makes it really distracting. Maybe we just have narrow butt cracks but that base, which is as wide as a soup can, just isn't comfortable.

Thank you for the review and closeup pictures. I guess the wide and thick base is unavoidable, where else can they house the controls and batteries? Speaking of batteries, what type of battery does this plug use?

Thanks for answering the question ImaGodiva. It does use 3 AAA batteries. I still need to let it run on max vibe to see how long it take to drain the rechargeable batteries I have.
